so, i celebrated my first four free evenings in shanghai with a bit of a marathon.

first off, my negotiation skills still suck (or i'm still just to f'ing nice) , and i only managed 1500 lt and 1000 st from manhattan / judy's. two years ago i was able to get 1000 lt with no haggling with an awesome little viet. but not so this time.

wednesday: manhattans a passing girl and a girlie bar.

Johnny. Thanks for sharing and sorry you went through that. I just wanted to add my 2 RMB and say that it's not just in Shanghai. There are also some very frightening stories about touts in the Shinjuku area in Tokyo where mongers have become "ill" after consuming some of the drinks provided in a tout-directed bar and / or being given a bar bill that is totally outrageous. And this is only with the girls sitting with them, not even sitting ON them.

There are so many options in Shanghai (and all over China) that there is no need to follow a tout or call an outcall girl out of the newspaper. Both will bring you sorrow and empty your wallet.

So a guy on the street asks you if you want a massage and may even show you some pictures of some sexy girls on business cards and tells you it's only 300 rmb for everything included. FS too. Seems like a nice enough guy so you go along with him. He may even jump in a taxi with you and say it's only a 3 minute ride or 15 rmb ride to this good place. He knows the manager and shows you a VIP card. He'll tell you it's a big place with lots of girls to choose from. He'll tell you that you can get a massage, BJ, FS. Etc. You arrive at a decent looking place and it looks like a KTV. You go in, sit on the couch, and the mamasan brings some girls in for the lineup. Pretty girls so you pick one. She comes over and sits next to you on the couch and the mamasan tells you to talk to the girl for awhile and get to know each other. They are busy and you have to wait for a room They offer you a beer or water. They bring some lady drinks in. You confirm the price just to be sure. 100 for massage and then 200 more for FS. He has to pay the police so that you have a chance to come here to CHINA and have sex with these girls. Something not legal in China. Now he tells you that you have to pay for the room. Remember the fun time you had screwing that pretty girl in the KTV room. He says the bill for the room is 39000 rmb. 39000 you ask. Yes 39000. In your head you start doing the exchange rate.
