Going to shanghai next week, and I heard good stuff about the Merrylin sauna. Would the location be the changhang merrylin, pudong 3d floor?

The LE may be corrupt or strange, but they are not inept. They already know where these things are. Especially larger establishments like saunas.

Fully agreeing, especially when sauna or KTV are made by a full building with that only, and full signage. Local LE can read those Chinese signages, LOL

Hi guys,

I visited 3 well known BBS area yesterday and what I found was alarming:

1. Anyuan Lu: totally closed down (they normally open around 8pm so ths was strange)

2. Zhengli Lu: there was some rally there. I saw a woman speaking from a podium (no idea what, I was too far) , with a big crowd around, and police from wall to wall, everything is closed.

3. Yinghua Lu: (south to Centuiry Park metro station) all BBS were open but only 1 girl / place so. Meh. Those are 500RMB anyway.

Hope this was just my bad luck.

Am trying finding some action outside Hongqiao Airport, pm me for info exchange, not easy finding action due to size, many high level expat ghettos and mainly industrial buildings (I know a weird combination). Especially if someone has some info for HuaCao town (area around American / British school) and Quibu very close to the new MediaMarkt (there is one Spa in the building and one huge Spa opposite. Anyone knows they are legitimate? Was driving with watchdog but if someone ones the area is worthwhile will venture back and report. Have some info on these areas but maybe better share via pm for the time being and report open say a month later when the waves have calmed.

Would appreciate some intel and happy to share mine.

I think LE activity is on the increase. Sauna at Riverview is shutdown too. Maybe better if locations are not described openly

I stay away from Manhattens or full-service Saunas / Spas because the consequences of having to leave the country would destroy everything I've built up over the past years and my plans for the future.

This is China. There is no tried and true rule or regulation. It's all open too interpretation and negotiation. Thus if you can't do the time, don't do the crime. But in most cases a HE at a massage place should be OK. But again, if you are not familiar with the establishment, you may not know the true full offerings on site. Thus there is always risk. IMHO, a place like Manhattan's has lower risk, as you are two consenting adults and no cash changes hand on premises. Or if you build a relationship with a MP, do take-away, so you are not on site.

Thanks for the warning. Was this at a regular massage place with happy ending? I'm a big fan of those and always though they are relatively save especially since the provider keeps all clothes on? I wonder what would happen if one get caught getting a HJ in a regular-ish massage place?

Yes, a regular place, but as a long time customer, clothing is optional. Let's just say the management is being cautious these days. As a customer, you may not have a problem (except for 15 days jail time, fines and visa revoked) , but the girls can end up fined and jailed and the establishment shut down. So like I said, be careful out there during this period running up to the 18th Congress.
