Golden 18 used to be a reliable address in SH. But recently, they had unannounced visitors. There were reports of closings and reopenings. Two days ago, we decided to check it out ourselves. On Arrival at 9:30p, we were told by two guys waiting in front of the building that the establishment is closed, but would open at 11:30pm. Weird. We elected rto take our business elsewhere.

Yesterday, a Chinese friend who frequents the same place called and inquired. He was given the same odd opening times. He was also told that it would be "too dangerous" to open earlier, due to a greater chance of visitors in uniform.

Security conscious patrons are advised to avoid the place, unless they like late night action and have a uniform fetish.

Judys is a freelancer bar in the main bar strip on TRL which supposedly is closing down in the very near future. It appears that Judys is just moving down the street, closer to Malones.

That's the general belief, since all their leases come up around then. But no one knows for sure. My guess is there will still be a few open after Dec 15, but in any case the days of TRL are definitely numbered.

Some one mentioned Da Tong. There is definately 'activity' of a building kind going on down there at the moment. And also appears to be some kind of club. Not sure I fancy being 'underground' though at bars. Drunk people, underground, accidents happen. Or you read about them. Still, seem to be plenty of exits.

However, City Diner appears tohave shut. Pity, it was the only place where the bill stated you had paid for a 'Cock Refill'. I kid you not. Anyway, the building is very much being worked on and a lrge, bright red Judy's sign has appeared across the front.

Think it will be a case of wait and C. When it happens, it happens. And like bees to a honey pot we will know where to go.

However, having said that, if the standard of girls does not improve perhaps we will not. Friday and Saturday, many Phills, Vietnam, the odd Thai gril and usual mad assortment clustered around the door. Was there anyone I would go with (Manahtten)?
