With the limited amount of time you have to "research the board", I think you will find the airport quite nice. It takes a bit of time to get anywhere from PVG as it is a ways out of town. Enjoy your transit.

Based on below report I went to this sauna tonight (Friday) and I have to say that I disagree with Applecrate.

The Sauna is indeed very nice but definitely not so much more nice as others in SH. I had a line-up of 7 girls, all not good-looking, except for 1, which I obviously took.

She did some basic massage, was very friendly, but did not want to do FS, because of the size. In the end she did it but not with so much pleasure which did not make it nice for me either. I payed 894RMB for 60 min (not 90 as stated on the menu)

Apart from this (I could be unlucky with the girl) I think this Sauna is a no-go compared to others, too pricy for not more fun or better decoration.

Agree with your assessment. To be sure, I have visited quite a few other Saunas since I wrote my commnetary on New Happy Garden back around CHinese New Year. (Heting Elite, Baoan Hotel, and Wisdom Spring on 5F of Hi-Tech Plaza in Puxi.)

These three have as nice, if not nicer decor.

As for your service commentary, the same thing happened to me. Yes, I went back when I was in Puxi and pressed for time. Knew it was overpriced, and did it anyway. The girl was cute, but only so-so in service as the size complaint came up. Basically, it was not a good experience. TIme was also a little short.

Again, I've revised my view of this place downward, and will not be going back. Perhaps if I would have posted my "second visit" commentary, then you could have saved the bucks for a better place.

By the way, in the near future I will post a report about another Shanghai sauna (with a server system) that actually segregates the girls by those who can -- and cannot -- service foreigners based on their ability to handle the size. It's the only place I've found that does this to avoid a "sizeable" problem.

Hi Jetsetter, thanks for asking about the girlfriendly place; I have been intending to write and have postponed too many times.

I found a place like that near Jin Sha Jiang Rd. Subway station (line 3/4). It is called Clear Water Bay. To find it walk out of Jin Sha Jiang station (all exits lead south), you will see a Toyota place on the right. Walk under the elevated tracks south toward the river. On your left is the Riverside Hotel, next is Clear Water Bay. There are only Chinese signs until you walk in. This building is 3 stories and has many windows. There is a doorman. Very nice appearance from the outside.

When you first walk in you can take an elevator on the left down to a standard sauna and bath, with many types of hot rooms and baths; or you can take the elevator on the right up to the VIP area.

I first tried this place back in the summer while here with my boss. We wanted only the sauna. It was a very hot day and we wanted to refresh between meetings.

While we were in the basement bath area we were offered to go up to the VIP massage area. My boss declined and I followed his lead.

However I returned a few month ago and went for the VIP.

I believe that it was 880 rmb, but I am not positive.

I went in, asked for the VIP and was led to the elevator on the right. I went up and had a bath and a sauna. Next I was led to another floor to wait for a bit. I think it was the 5th floor. This area was very well appointed with leather furniture and new TVs. After a moment an attendant who could manage a little English came to verify that I wanted a FS massage.

He asked " make law? ". I thought, " yes! Congress! "

I said yes and we returned to the 4th floor and a very nice room. I thought the room was nicer than the Hotel that my company had provided me.

After a short wait a young lady came to the room.

There was no line up, but I would have very likely chosen her, she was an 8 in my book. She had long hair, to her waist. She was tall and full figured.

She told me her Mongolian name was Ha Ma Ji Da. I did not get her number. She also used a Chinese name like, Chen Jin, or something.

I am not sure of how long the time spent was.

This was the first time I had a fire and ice.

After the service she asked me to sign a receipt.

When I returned to the locker and the check out on the 4th floor I saw a few other foreigners speaking English. I managed most of this with out any Chinese language skills.

The rest of the facility was very nice. I saw families there who were enjoying the restaurant.

I think you could take a friend and slip upstairs from the basement.

I haven't been to any other myself, but when you look at the backside of their card, there are 2 to 3 other locations across town.

It was the xietu lu branch, I didn't know there was another location. What is the cross road to Tietu Lu maybe I should start going there instead.

There are actually two branches at the crossing of Tietu Lu and Damuqiao lu. I always go to the one closer to the intersection. I don't speak much of Chinese, but cannot really complain. I always let them choose a girl for me, so I have sledomly the same twice or three times. Sometimes the massage is mediocre, but I'm never pressed for a tip. Maybe, I look so stingy.

The Grlden Dream Sauna at the Baoan Hotel in Pudong is full service. (Baoan is near the Purple Mountain Hotel, and not far from the Intercontinental) It is a massive facility. You can see photos of the sauna mixed in with sports facility pictures by following this link.

Pictures of the Sauna are accurate. THe rest area is huge and has lounge chairs with individual TV screens. The sauna bathing area is large enough for a pro football team.

They use a server system, but the manager doesn't want to lose face by putting a substandard lady in the massage room. Service time is 90 minutes and damage is about 780 RMB.

Number 968 is from Dongbei. She has a face that looks a little like the brunette-with-bangs in Pulp Fiction. She has the most majestic rack that I've seen in years. Spectacular. True-to-size 38Ds that have a slightly upward turn, like those old-school Playboy centerfolds. And she has plenty of ass too. Round ass at that. She is not slender, she is meaty. But this is good, as she can take the dick like a champion. Though she does CBJs, her massive rack and GFE attitude while fucking your brains out makes up for it. Which branch are you referring to? I frequent the Tietu Lu branch and I haven't had such problems there. No one ever asked me for a tip there, though I give a hundred, if the service is really good

I went to the Peacock once since it had been talked about so much here and didn't like it that much. Enjoyed Le Yuan more. Peacock always tries to upsell for RMB100 tip. Girls aren't anything to write home about. Facilities are worse than Le Yuan, but better than the Nandan Dong Lu one. Nandan Donglu service was superior to either though, not to mention cheaper.

I do not know the real name of this place. But have been there several times. And it has been reported on.

Entrance is 15meters to the right of Starbucks and Wagas at Maxdo Shopping Mall, Hongqiao. If you google "Wagas Maxdo", you'll get a Chinese address to Wagas facing Wagas from the street, this place is to your right, after crossing the underground parking entrance.

You enter, go down a couple of flights of stairs, follow the signs to the "Sanna" Club and there you are.

The last two sessions were very good. With the girls making sure I was satisfied. And this one was no exception. I also have been having problems at Peacock lately where as a couple months back I was very satisfied with the level of service provided. The first time I went I got a 90 minute massage HE that was excellent including a lot of touching etc, and the girl didn't even ask for a tip but I did give her 100rmb. Slowly over time and some more visits it seemed that the whole session went quicker and quicker and the latest session last week lasted only about 35 minutes? ! ? Also, it seems that all the girls working there have got it in their head that if it's a foreign customer they can squeeze them for at least 200rmb and kept at getting the 200rmb for a good 10 minutes until they finally gave in to just receiving 100rmb. A reasonable tip is 50 RMB only if you get exceptional service, or you can get the girl to take off her bra or let you touch her. Otherwise, if you have to tip, just stick to 20 RMB.

Sorry I'm pretty sure you were referring to the same location as I was. I'm not sure why it is but I'm guessing when a person can't speak Chinese they see $$$ or I've just been unlucky in my selection. I'm not giving up on it since I have had good service there in the past but it would be nice if some Chinese speaking members would mention something to the staff to crack down a bit on the girls trying to get 100% tip on the massage session.
