Since I have never mongered, I'm not sure I can even be considered a newbie. Been here in Changde for 3 months now and it is the only part of China I have experienced. I have stayed at Jiangmen a few times at a hotel called Capital Hotel. The hotel has a resturant on top that turns in a circle. Price is about $230RMB a night.

There is a big new 5 star hotel in Jiangmen called Celeste Palace that has a sauna. The hotel is attached to a large mall with a Huge parking lot in front. You might want to try the sauna but not 100% about extras.

For the city itself, there is basically no SW in Jiangmen. There are a few BBS and saunas but I can't give you directions or the Chinese/English names, sorry. Good thing, I do have pictures of one place. The place is about 15-20 mins out of town. My friend said they offer full service but it was too far for us to try at the time. Honestly, any info I have is over 2 years old. I know if you are in GZ and staying in Baiyun there are a ton of BBS off Baiyun Da Dao between Bai Yun Hotel and Guangzhou Foreign Language University.
