Things are in a bad way in Wanchai. While I saw no violence this time, streets are much less crowded, businesses are suffering for lack of traffic, cabs and buses are few and far between, and after 10 pm you are pretty much out of luck if you can't walk to your ultimate destination. A few days ago some mamasans couldn't make it in to work and didn't even open their bar. Last night on my regular way out in search of, the Pacific Place Mall completely closed before 6:30 pm, so I had to trek down the hill outside, knowing that if I snagged a gal from the bars we would have to walk back up the same way and pass through the main lobby to get to the elevators. Not ideal, but I did it. Passed by Firehouse and there were two hotties outside building a small good luck fire outside. Made a mental note to back there if I didn't get what I was looking for elsewhere. Went to El Cerdo for a great meal and people watching before getting serious in my search. After dining light (easy to do with the small and delicious dishes), I crossed Lockhart Rd. To peek into San Francisco, where I had watched a half dozen hotties enter while I dined. "Kate" was on stage while the other 5 girls ran over to drag me deeper into the bar. Went down to Wanchai last night. You would not know anything was happening there that was remotely connected to the troubles on Friday night. Usual bars doing business albeit maybe not just as many around but you still had to dodge them on the pavements overspilling from the bars. Taboo was packed and it was difficult to get in. Same for Amazonia. Went into Neptune111 for old time's sake. Only 20/30 inside with the usual girls still there looking for LD's. No one caught my eye although I did have a few beers with some of the regulars. Certainly no reduction in the cost of tequilas! Plenty girls out on the streets touting for business.
