Last night (Friday) in Neptune II a thirtysomething Thai (slightly dark, dimples, sweet smile) sat next to me (I declined to buy her a drink and urged her to move on, as the asking within three minutes of chatting is an immediate disqualification).
My girl said that some punters have paid her 2. 5 to 4. Hard to say whether that is true, and I would rate her as standard appearance for a Pattaya bargirl, no stunner.
I think we'd all like to hear whether they are just the ripoff they appear to be.

I agree completely your philosophy of not buying a drink when asked in only their second sentence to you - its a turn off for me as well.
With regard to the point about getting paid 2.5 - 4 - that's a hint for a tip!
I can never understand why anyone in their right mind would want to go into one of these "curtained" places. You need to fight off the old, ugly mamasan that almost pulls you in off the street. A total rip-off from what I hear. Ok, you might get a beer for $30 but look at the cost of ladies drinks. And you will be under severe pressure to buy one. I know guys that have run up enormous bills in there because of the chits that are put in an empty glass placed on the bar in front of you while they are "talking" to their "hostess". And try leaving without paying!

Well done. Trust me, too many BSDs (Big Swinging Dicks) pay those insane prices these days. Good to see that some girls still go for reasonable prices in between. It's not that I couldn't equally afford to throw money around, but my parents once taught me that money has a value.

These were all discussed here in the past year, FreebieFan. I think Ramn is stating that the old Laguna has moved to new location; old Laguna in a new place. Glass elevator between the JB entrances now takes one to Forrest (said to be operated by the old Laguna group) and then Traffik (said to be operated by the old Fenwick group). The last time I swung by on a weekday, both have not been as busy as in the past in their old locations. Forrest was packed the Sunday I swung by. FreebieFan, you should have swung by on your last trip!

Next HK trip will be taking a 19 year old cutie from Cebu with me, so will have guaranteed Free on Tap LOL.

I inquired about what she was asking and when she answered HK $2500 for LT I laughed and politely informed her that the dry spell wasn't bad luck at all but rather her ridiculous price. Before my appearance at Nep I did inquire about the Flipper gogos' pricing. A mamasan who had some attractive young ones sitting out front mentioned $30 beers $150 for lady drinks and a $1500 barfine for "Short Time." That ST, BTW, is ONE HOUR. No guarantee that the hot girls out front would be the ones to do the barfine, I suppose (and I'd certainly insist that the hour is bed time, excluding transit time. Still wondering whether anyone here has any experience with the WC gogos; and I'm flogging the query. I think we'd all like to hear whether they are just the ripoff they appear to be.

The owners of the old Laguna opended up Forrest, which is on top of Joe Bananas. The building where the old Laguna was sold and the new owners from what I understand are opening another bar.

In a new wan chai bar, J Forrest. Stand at the crossroads by Amazonia and look for the sign. Seemed a mix of indos / philipinas, most claimed to be students / just visiting but felt more semi-pro. Definitely less pro than escape / neptune 2. Not too crowded but not dead, around midnight.

Come out of your hotel and head left. The next building, Wing On Centre, near it is a subway. Go down and keep walking ahead and about a few minutes later, you will be in the MTR. Take it to Yaumatei and head to Dundas Street. Suggest you use google maps or centamap.com to get an idea where your hotel is located. Refer to the maps section where there are many guides as to how to get to Dundas.

To go to Wanchai, on the MTR head to Central. At Admiralty change trains by walking straight ahead which is the train to Chai Wan. After one stop you will be in Wanchai and take the Lockhart road exit. Come out, turn left and walk around.

Again, the maps section is invaluable.

I am put up at Hotel shangrila kwoloon for 2 days next wk& need some advise. Going thru the forum (which has helped me in Thailand, Geyland, Argentina, thermas, fkks &others pretty well) I know how to reach Kpressure (thanks to Flyboys dummies guide& many others). Can somebody tell me how to navigate to 37 Dundas & Wanchai from shangrila. Is cab or mtr better. Elementary questions I admit

Next to me is an Indonesian girl who wasn't Miss World for sure but small normal slim type girl. She had a backless dress on so for fun I slipped my hand down the back of her dress, gave her ass cheeks a squeeze and waited to see her reaction. She laughed and asked me to put my hand down the front. Well one thing led to another and at 9pm she says she has to go home by 10, but could we go boom boom.

If she was wearing a black dress and she was petite (aren't they all) , I think she is the one that could pass as a twin of another Indonesian girl that used to frequent Wan Chai. Both were able to move well with very fluid motions and were playfully uninhibited. A good indication of later private performances! I hate getting the inexperienced ones as so much time has to be spent making them feel comfortable and getting them into the proper positions and getting them to relax. Really hard to concentrate on the task at hand.

OK. A friend of mine who was at the Hong Kong 7's Rugby Championships said that there were quite a few bars there that appeared to have freelancers around. I know Wanchai reasonably well & was looking for something a little different. Thanks.

The Sevens is an exceptional few days. There may well have been FLs in LKF to mop up the vast influx of tourists. It's not the normal state of affairs, though.
