And I would propose that a young lady who provides "cheap bareback sex" might be part of the highest risk group for HIV/AIDS/other STDs.

That's pretty much it, except here in the stated StarBUCK's charges $6. or 60,000 rup's per hours, which I think is a rather hefty sum for just an hour.

Posts: 293Just returned, and yes, pretty quiet. A very nice place to relax and recharge your batteries. The locals say that Lombok is like Bali 20 years ago, but expect it to be like Bali in 7 years.

There is nothing on Lombok which you cannot find on Bali. The island is muslim, which Bali is not. Very quiet in evenings. No fresch milk - only canned milk. Beaches end very abruptly in the water so be careful not to drown!

Posts: 356Visa on arrival revision for 7 days = $10, versus only 3 days for $10 is indeed a welcome change. I rarely stay more then 7 days, but always more then 3, so it saves me a bit of cash.
However, for many countries, the visa on arrival program was only instituted last year, whereas before you didnt even need one. So essentially, no matter how quickly you get off the plane, you will wind up at the back of the immigration queue because of the extra extortion step.

Posts: 2417Visa on arrival: new countries as from August 1st
Excerpt: "JAKARTA, 13 July 2005 - It is now confirmed that the 14 additional countries slated for visa on arrival facility in Indonesia (TTG Asia, July 8 issue) will be able to do so from August 1. This brings to 36 the number of countries eligible for the facility.
The 14 countries are: Austria, Belgium, India, Ireland, Kuwait, Luxembourg, Maldives, Egypt, Portugal, Qatar, China, Russia, Saudi Arabia and Spain. While the cost of visa remains at US$10 and US$25, the validity is now seven and 30 days."
Needless to say, it remains a good idea to call the local indo consulate to confirm.

Gentlemen,
Will be returning to Medan 1st week of August, not been for about 8 years or so, where would be a good place to stay, its a business trip, so need a 'respectable' hotel but also one that good for some of the local 'entertainment' or at least close by.
Used to stay at that hotel near that disco with the plane sticking out of the wall.
Appreciate any help you can give.
Cheers.
