Posts: 1Talking about accommodation, can anyone tell me what I should pay for a couple of months in Sanur? I checked Airbnb and it looks like about US $650-800 per month for clean, modern 1-room that has ac and WiFi and is within walking distance of the fishbowls and a few bars / convenience stores. This is for March / April next year.
Will I do better than that booking a short stay and then doing a deal for the rest of the time? Do many of the hotels there have kitchens you can use?
I'd like to pay about $400 if possible but at that price I'm seeing "be aware there is no hot water", "fan cooled", "only 30 minutes to the nearest bar", "must like roaches" etc.
Grateful for any local info / pointers.

Regarding hotel in Sanur area, I can advise Hotel Jati and Home Stay on Jl. Danau Tamblingan 168 - 170, I stayed there last year, less than 40 €, very nice typical Balinese villas, may be it could be a good option.

Getting take-out from the fishbowls is possible, but the papasan will charge you a bit more than the standard 200 K (eg 250 or 300) and the girls will expect a tip.
There are lots of girls on wechat in the Sanur area as well who are happy to visit hotels for 300 k or thereabouts. Let me know if you would like some contacts.

I will be in Bali for four days in December (I haven't been there in many years). I'm thinking of spending two days in Sanur at either Takso, Akana boutique, Nutah Bale, or Mercur and then Kuta / Legian for two days. Sanur seems like it might be a bit quiet for me but I like the idea of X houses and fishbowls. I would ideally like to select a girl at a fishbowl or X house and bring her back to my hotel for an unrushed 2 or 3 hours. Will girls be willing to do this (I expect this will cost me a bit more)? Can anyone comment on my hotel choices?
Thoughts and suggestions much appreciated.

Hearing about the unreliability of girls on these apps I had about 6 back ups. I would start to make connections soon and if need be maybe book a couple of different hotels just in case they get clingy and want to hang out with you all the time. I am planning my first trip to Pattaya for next February so I take it Thaifriendly works ok there?
All the best and I hope you score some stunners.

Hello to all,

I'm travelling to Bali in the month of Sept. 2017 Actually backpacking but I intend to take up a hotel for mongering.
I will be going to seminyak, canggu & gili. T.
I don't know how to get the girls here like they have some apps like thaifriedly, tinder what works here in Bali, is it same like Pattaya?
Is the mongering scene as good as p\Pattaya or after my travel I should head to Thailand for few days?
Guys need help.

It took taxi driver a while to find River View Spa. Classy place, nicely fitted out. When I was there the pool was not heated, and the girls would not get in with me. Not bad service, but they had minimal English and this was definitely not a GF experience. First time on Bali, probably the last. Back to Samui for me!!

There are some very lovely ladies there; nice busty Balinese. Current rate is 2. 5 mill for 2 in the pool room or 2. 3 in the jacuzzi room.

I went there toward the end of June, but would probably have refrained doing so if I had read this article before.
The visit was pretty mediocre.
I also went to Bliss Massage in Jimbaran based on something I read last year, but there was no suggestion that any extras were offered. It might be because of the recent police activity or because what I read was inaccurate.
Good massage though.

Any comments on the better months to visit? In any case, I have a year to plan this, though I had originally hoped to visit Asia again, this fall. Guess, I will have my nose to the grind instead. But, it has been a nice mongering streak for me in the past 20 months. Trips to four countries.
