this is my first report, i hope you enjoy it.

its september 2009 and this year i visit indonesia. i arrive in jakarta, but decide against any mongering. i'm in the neighborhood, i walk right past stadium without looking at it, i decide i don't need any stds or other new complications in my life.

i find a decent place in legian with ceiling fan and mandi for rp 80, 000 a night. why pay more, right? i end up spending most nights in kuta hanging out with an australian guy. the night begins with observing the circus as it makes its way down jalan legian and ends in the clubs watching the working girls and drunk foreigners.

ok so i broke my vow of purity i made with myself in jakarta. i'm into 18. 25 year old women that aren't fat, ugly is ok sometimes. i think i saw one decent indonesian woman in bounty one night, and i can recall 5 to my liking in paddy's. i've never sought sex in bali and from what i read / hear the asking price (in kuta) is ridiculously (prohibitively) high. if you have several days as i did and you're not ultra-horny, i think it can help if you relax, be seen, and not make an offer for a night or two. on my first night i try to chat-up a couple of my 5 target women in paddy's. i speak some indonesian which helps in most situations, but not here. the conversation rapidly shifts to "you want massage" and all attempts i make to charm them are thwarted with hardcore indifference. i drift away without an inquiry into price. there is one more that i like, she's wearing a long sleeve shirt and jeans, has a pretty smile, and looks more like a normal girl than a working girl in a bar. i lose her in the crowd and leave without talking to her.

in retrospect, as far as indonesia goes i think stadium in jakarta is my first choice. a few years ago i stayed near jalan jaksa in a tiny room for about rp 35, 000 a night and rode the busway to stadium for rp 3, 500. most nights i didn't meet a woman i liked and it didn't bother me. on a few occasions i met really cute women that were fascinated by me. for rp 300, 000 (the price then) i had really nice experiences in clean and private rooms. if you spend all night there, the busway starts operating at 5:00 am so you can get back to jaksa for rp 3, 500. (the same goes for blok m too) remember how i told you i was a cheapskate? . in my opinion indonesia is best for adventure / entering a different world, while the philippines is where the best gfe is to be found. (i like gfe)

I have made some use of your information during the last week, but not as much as I had hoped.

1. I didn't have the free time to explore too much.

2. The availability of girls was very limited due to the end of Ramadan holidays.

Anyway, he's a summary of my experience. For a first timer to Bali, the maps and information from Barri was invaluable. Not doubt it saved me some from being ripped off.

The first visit to Sanur was mid afternoon and that was a bad move.

None of the fishbowls had girls, so they summoned girls on bikes.

I went to 67X and took the 2nd girl they brought.

Nothing really special just went for BBBJ and didn't bother with the full service. In and out in around 20 mins and took the taxi back to Nusa Dua.

After that I moved to Sanur and was able to explore for 2 nights.

I had dinner at a friend's house last night, who lives down a gang opposite the big monument which has a 10 meter high wooden baby stroller next to it. (Don't you just love the local art ). It happens to be about 3 minutes by bike from the flea pit.

So after 5 bottles of wine between 3 people, I decided the flea pit would probably look a lot better. Drunk, and in pitch black, what could be so bad.

I pulled up in front of the place, and this pimply elephant waddled out to stroke my arm and cajole me to come in. Well, I decided to try to find the infamous flea pit yesterday. It is quite simple really. Here are some accurate directions.

From the red light with Mc Donald and KFC on your right, drive 3.8 km up the hill. You will see a Yamaha sign on the right hand side. Make a U turn at the 3.8 km mark, about 150 m past the Yamaha sign. Double back, and drive about 100 m, where you will go up a road on the left. the name of the road is Jalan Teges Nunggal. There is a small road sign showing this.

Pretty much in front of a large cement factory, about 250-300m up the street on the right hand side, is the "flea pit" (note it doesn't warrant capital letters )

My plan was to go there and try to take one for the team, and report back my experience. Unfortunately, upon arrival, noticing the abject filth, and the fact that there was not one girl anywhere past a 4 in my book, I mumbled "I'll be back later" and left.

I wish I had my camera with me, as the pics that have been posted here do not do the place justice. I tip my hat to the brave souls who have been able to partake there. My dick shriveled up like the head of a turtle going into it's own neck. I heard it scream to me........... "please don't make me do this".

Wondering why anyone bother going to the pits if 100K is the rate there and some X-house start at 150k (although from what I read so far, not all X places start at 150k) and the pits is also a bit out of the way.

Like 1Ball, I thought I'd go for a recce. This was a couple of years ago. I guess there have been few improvements, since my reactions were identical to his.

But I never bothered to post my disgust lest I came across as elitist and fastidious.

I've been in some horrible *****houses in my time - the cages in Bombay, the shacks just over the German border on the road to Prague in the Czech Republic, the tent city near Srebrenica, and even the cardboard hovels in the waste ground in the back of one of the bus terminals in Denpasar (strictly as a spectator in all these cases I might add) but the flea pit takes the cake.

You can just about see the bacteria crawling on every surface. And the sheets and the mattresses are just stiff with a thousand comes.

There's got to be something seriously wrong with a bloke's self-worth to choose to get his jollies in a tip like that.

Things have both changed and not changed in the two years since I was in Bali.

Last time I met a girl introduced to me by Prof Designer - one time only. The rest of the time I depended on a massage girl I ran into. She was gorgeous but, being Balinese, and married, did not do the deed herself. But she brought me a couple of very nice girls, whom I depended on for the rest of my visit.
She was nowhere to be seen this time.

So I called Prof Designer's contact the first day I was there. She remembered me and came over in a couple of hours. She was okay, but her expectations were high. I gave her 500,000 rupiah for a couple of hours and said goodbye, and never called her back.

So, next day I went with one of the massage women who hang out at the Jl Legian end of Poppies 2. She took me to a nearby massage place and gave me a 45-minute massage. When I pointed out the hour was not over, she said that was enough, or something to that effect.

But she did say she could show me some women for "sex massage". So, off we went.

We took a very narrow lane off Jl Legian, near Poppies 2, and in the opposite direction to the beach.

We went ended up on an unpaved street called Mataram and turned left - toward Legian.

We walked for maybe 10 minutes, and one interesting thing I noticed on the way was a large building labeled with an X. 40X - that was its address. I wondered if it was like the X houses of Sanur and asked the massage girl, but couldn't get an answer. I wonder if one of the Bali regulars knows about this, or will want to check it out?

We ended up at Number 30 - a salon (Salon Bintang). Inside I was led to an alcove with a couple of chairs and 6 or 7 girls showed up. None of them was really worth doing, and I was getting ready to leave when another girl came.
She was okay, maybe a 5 or 6 in looks (see pix below). The mamasan quoted 200,000 for her and I agreed. But when it came time to leave she upped the figure to 400,000. Maybe I should have quoted a smaller figure to begin with?
I left, but the massage girl persuaded me outside to agree to 250,000, which I was prepared to pay anyway. We summoned a taxi, and off we went to my hotel. They have a room at the salon also, and I imagine she could have been had for 150,000 there, same as Sanur. But I do prefer my own room.

She was from Java of course, did not know much English but was pleasant enough. But she was a clock watcher - not during the act - but at the end. So I gave her 10,000 for the return fare and that was it.

The salon has a telephone number (email too), but I am not supposed to post those. In any case, I would not recommend it unless someone is really hard up. But people have differing tastes.

People do have to watch out for these massage girls - they are turning into ripoff artists, as my second massage girl was.

I ran into her on Jl Legian, closer to Bemo Point. Agreed to 40,000 rupiah for an hour's massage, but showed up at my hotel with a friend. When I objected the two of them offered 60,000 for an hour so I said what the hell. The massage was nothing to talk about, though the Balinese girl was cute. I sent them packing.

Next day I met the Balinese girl on the street, and she offered to massage AND get me her younger sister. But she wanted 50,000. I agreed and she 0ame over. Halfway during the massage she wanted to go get her sister. I asked her to finish the massage but she said she wanted to finish later. I knew I wouldn't get any more. Note to others: In a similar situation, make the girl finish her massage, pay her for it, and then ask her to get the girl.

She returned 20 minutes later with a woman I didn't want to let anywhere near my organ, and who was her sister as much as I was her brother.

No, I said, get the hell out. But they begged and pleaded and, the flesh being weak, and this being my last day in Bali, I let the girl give me a hand job. She offered to suck - no way, I said, keep all your organs except your hand away from there. I paid an extra 100,000 rupiah and bid adieu to Bali.

The visit reinforced my belief - the easiest girls are in Pattaya, and the sexiest girls are in Rio. Bali is a great place if you go with a girlfriend or wife.

A bit of a cocky title but I think I've got most things sorted out. The new map (based on Google map) is more detailed, more correct and with better resolution. All venues marked on the map have been verified that they exist. Venues found in other reports that I not have been able to localize I have omitted.

For this project I deployed a new strategy:

1. Only went for ST (but took the girl's mobile number if she seemed fit for LT).

2. I never took a taxi direct to a venue: either drove my car, walked or took a taxi to the nearest Landmark and walked from there.

3. Never asked for the cost: just handed over 200 000 rp to the papasan. It worked everywhere except in three places:[indent]a. Sukun Bali Cottages, where the papasan told me before I asked that the room was 100 000, the girl 300 000. He went down to 50 000 for a fan room and 200 000 for the girl.

B.99X, where the papasan told me before I asked that the room was 500 000. He went down to 200 000 and I understood later the he meant another 200 000 for the girl. The girl he fetched turned out to be a repeat of bad performing girl so I cut my losses and left.

C.05X on Tirta Ening. The mamasan wanted 300 000 but I offered 150 000. She accepted as I started to leave. I really hesitated, but decided to 'take one for the boys'.

When I was younger I didn't do ST because it always became extremely short. This time I did two ST each evening, and I think my body sometimes was confused whether the first one really was the first one or actually the third the same day. So at several occasions I did the full hour, and most of these girls started to complain after 45 minutes. Only a few troopers made the distance with joy and even kissed me sweetly goodbye as we parted.

Nuts M was correct in his post 07-06-09:

Most of the showrooms/fishbowls also have rooms available.

Most places are quite easy to find: they have clear sign boards, but sometimes a landmark can be of help to indicate the beginning of a street or an alley or an obscure location.

The attached documents contain tables on streets, landmarks, fishbowls / showrooms, hotels and bars/pubs as well as maps of the 'red light district' and of north Sanur. I wasn't able to pay a visit to all hotels, (as I discovered a few new ones during my walks) but I hope someone will be curious enough to visit and report on those I haven't verified by visiting.

I have tried to use all names correctly, e. G. 18 on the Circle K alley is not 18X, as 29 on Jl Danau Poso is not 29X, 09X is different from 9X etc.

The Google map did not correctly display all streets (and alleys) so I have corrected this to my best ability.

You mean it's on the south side of Jl Danau Poso? I have a vague memory of seeing a name Blanjong. Is it a paralel with Jl Sekar Waru, then? Going all the way trough to JL Mertasari, more or less? There is a nameless street on this map http://www.mapsbali.com/areas/sanur5.php, next to the temple, which would fit your description. Is this the one? Is it spelt Blanjong (like the temple) or Belanjong?

Any idea where 22X is?
