I agree, hunting is often more fun than the sex, especially in places where service is often less than stellar. However, I prefer to walk between the places that have girls on the premises, and hate the setup where I'm waiting for some pimp to bring 2 girls on a motorbike. Maybe I'm trying to avoid the situation where I need to refuse them after they spent the time coming over, since I prefer to take my time browsing and see if anyone catches my interest, rather than quickly pick one girl (out of only 2-3 on offer) right away.

I was there in July. The mamasan offered me the choice of a line up or select from photos from a laptop computer.

It was about midday and not busy so I decided to choose from the photos.

Bad mistake. Although the girl offered acceptable service she was not that attractive and a little chubby. Didn't look like that in the photo.

Depending on where you will be located, I found that the hotel staff are good with information about what is open around your area. Some will have more information on places more afar. If they don't know, they will know someone more in touch with the scene. As in a WG or punter. Just delicately ask. They don't want to lose their jobs.

Well, it might help if you spelled Sanur properly. But, to answer your question there are no real "nightclubs" in Sanur's tourist district. There are some pleasant bars that have pleasant, chatty female help that can supposedly can be lured away....

Umm, yeah, about the spelling. My bad. This is my third visit to Sanur and know the general layout. And yes, the X houses, I share your thoughts on them and the value. Saw nothing in any bars in the area that warranted any investigation.

The problem is that most of the X houses don't have their own selection. They call over girls from the same handful of fishbowls, and there aren't so many of those. As of 2017, I counted only 6-7 fishbowls with over 10 girls in Sanur (3 next to Circle K and the rest scattered around).

I did walk from 29 (when they didn't have but two girls to choose from) all the way to Barokah Hotel, where they four girls in the fishbowl, (and one was awesome enough to rock my evening). And while Sanur alone don't make Bali a good destination for mongering, it was good enough for my purposes, budget and tastes. I'd love to go back and spend a bit longer. Young, submissive SE Asian girls going for around $20 USD at today's exchange rates. All on an island with beautiful beaches, natural wonders, abundant nightlife and good food.

I've never understood low-level mongers who want incall service. That's as much adventure as ordering a pizza to be delivered. I did let a local acquaintance bring me a WG to my hotel on the last afternoon I was there in Sanur. However, the most mystery about that scenario was if she would look like I expected she would (Answer: NO). Most guys wouldn't want to walk into a dark compound in a strange place and be approached by a male silhouette from out of the shadows. But, most guys won't have as much fun as we do, either.
