Not a true mongering report but a situational report on Kuta.

Arriving at the airport was time consuming but not the Cluster Fuck I was expecting. Just research what is required at the time of your arrival and have paper copies of everything ready.

    For me that was:

    Covid Insurance.

    Proof of Vaccinations.

    Negative PCR.

    3 N4 the hotel reservation.

No one cared about the tracking app.

Visa on Arrival was 500 k, PCR test was 285 k. Card or foreign currency accepted. Change is in IDR.

Get a SIM at the airport desk. It takes a while but most of the shops in Kuta are closed. About 10 minutes and its active.

ATMs at the Arrival hall are working.

Taxi, touts or Grab available. No need to use hotel transfer if you don't wish.

PCR results took about 3 hours. Technically you should stay in the hotel until it's received but this is not monitored nor enforced.

Hotels are doing an OK domestic tourist business but Foreigners are still a rarety. At least 50% of inner Kuta is still closed. Streets are near deserted.

Mask usage is near 100% when not eating.

Some legit and ++ massage places are open. Even the legit places are now offering "in room" service. ++ places are staffed by some oldies still hanging on for dear life. A few younger motor bike girls offering to drive you home for a massage. During the day there are a couple of girls hanging out at the small bars around Legian but they are no stunners.

Sorry no idea on night time options or business.

Some reports of areas outside Kuta doing ok with return or destination customers but don't expect to turn up, hit the clubs and mingle until you find someone.

    Cheers. G.

My alternative plan is for Manila and Subic, airfares currently about $1,200 return. I am very familiar with the scene in Philippines where I have consistently used Pinalove when in country to find a steady list of dating girls.

What is the recommended platform for hooking up with freelancers in Bali?

I signed up to Date in Asia. Not an overwhelming number of girls.

Hoping an experienced Bali-punter can point me in the right direction.
Think about flying from Indonesia out to Manila? It's cheaper.

Yep. I created an account and seemed to be a nice number of contacts. I actually closed the account as I didn't need to get too excited with them. I'm sure a lead time of 1-2 weeks will be enough time.

Since I posted my original post, my original flight booking was cancelled by the airline which also screwed up my hotels etc. I'm sorting this out now. I don't mind though. I think that is just the cost of trying to be in the first wave of adventurers as these countries open up post-pandemic.

Guess how many foreign nationals visited Bali in October last year when they first re-opened. I kid you not, only two. Pretty sure the numbers were equally dismal or non-existent after that.

SEA Countries like Thailand, Philippines, Singapore no longer require quarantine. Why would any tourist want to have the pleasure of getting imprisoned in a hotel room for 5 straight days for non-essential travel when they can have all other options available to them.

Let's see how far this policy would get them.
I am sure that they do want tourist but when you have a population that is less than 50% vaccinated I can understand why they are being hesitant. I can not wait to travel to SEA and taste some Asian pussy again like everyone else and I am sure when the pandemic is down graded to endemic Indonesia and a lot of other SEA countries will open up with few or no restriction's. You mention Thailand not requiring quarantine but you fail to mention the how the Test and Go scheme works? You do have to stay in a Government approved hotel overnight while you wait on PCR test and you have to test on day 5 and if you are positive you are quarantined for 10 days in either a hospital or government approved medic hospital. You have do a RAT every second day to enter bars etc. Not exactly as perfect as you make out.

Exactly. Until they have zero quarantine and allow all foreigners vaccinated or not they can get lost.

Yes, agreed. Strange how slow Indonesia has been on these things, but I guess they are less reliant on international visitors than Thailand or Singapore.

    Bali Now Open

    Terms.

The government will require foreigners who want to travel to Bali and Riau Islands to have a B211 A tourist visit visa with a travel company guarantor, not individuals.

Foreign tourists who will travel in the two regions are also required to follow the arrival protocol for international travellers. This provision is regulated in the Circular of the Head of the COVID-19 Handling Task Force number 2 of 2022.

    These requirements include:

A complete course of COVID-19 vaccination, with a certificate.

    RT-PCR test results.

Proof of ownership of health insurance.

Proof of confirmation of accommodation payment.

    Entering Bali.

In a release received by KONTAN, three airlines have received permits to enter Bali. These are:

Garuda Indonesia with the Narita-Japan route on 2nd February.

Singapore Airlines with the Singapore-Bali route on 16th February.

Batik Air with the route Bali-Singapore on 16th February.

Up to the time of publication, the government has not issued further details of Bali's international opening.

Thanks, Gern. I took your advice and finally took the time to set up a membership. Just shot you a message! Let me know if you have any issues receiving or responding.

And, yeah, if anyone else has advice on spots or girls that are semi-legit and don't offer much if any extras beyond happy endings, but as a result aren't as much of a drain on my wallet, feel free to reach out to me directly or here in the forum.

As mentioned, I'm curious not only about visiting establishments, but just as much so about girls, whether freelance or with a company, who do this on an outcall basis.

    Thanks!

    Rumors of more re-opening?

To those on the ground (or well connected), a question:

Are there any rumors of further opening? In particular for the reinstatement of VOA? I hold UK and Irish passports but no longer any work-related reason to enter the country.

While young and attractive is always nice, I'm a little less concerned about age and looks here, as I don't intend to sleep with the girl. In other words, I'm totally fine with a presentable 48-year-old masseuse with good hand technique.

I'm not a paid subscriber, which I believe means I can't receive PMs, but if you have tips that you can only share privately, let me know and I can look into subscribing!

    * hand job + lousy BJ is 70 USD with no love.

This is utterly ridiculous, y'all paying more than back home for bad services, in nasty places showing no educated hygiene.

What have you guys done to Bali??

1995 I fucked half Kuta + Denpasar for free!

Crossing huts by rice paddies on my 250 CC it was not exceptional to see a woman making explicit gestures.

Do you have any ideas how horny Indo women are?

I have fucked women taking a bath by the river, early morning on the *****, all locals.

    Bali 20201:

    70 USD for a handjob!
I don't think "we" have done anything to Bali. The indos in Bali are in need for more money. Life got expensive, the pandemic got them hit, and there's a price for every service. Services are not as great as before, so reviews and double checks are important. But I think it's just the economy. Not the customers. Yes, you could fuck for free in 1995 because back then, paid sex in Bali wasn't a big deal anyway. Today it is a market with prices, supply and demand.
