I just had one night in Bali on the Feb 1st so I tried to make the best of it. I didn't really plan ahead except that I read the reports here about where the pick-up places were in Kuta since I didn't have the chance to get away to the x-clubs. I wandered around without much sense of direction and ended up finding the Bounty Hotel to stay at which turned out to be pretty lucky since it was close to the bars.

There were some Aussies at the hotel that said that Paddy's was fun so I went there at about 10 and it was packed with partying Aussie men and women. Islandboy, the guys at customs are 99% interested in catching you with too much alcohol or cigarettes. if you get stopped, it most likely will be due to the guy running your luggage through the X-ray just before your luggage goes onto the carrousel tagged it. What I mean by that, is they will put a few "X" with yellow chalk all over your suitcase. (not nice of you have expensive luggage. I have seen Louis Vuitton suitcases covered in chalk marks).

In any event, I always have a wet cloth inside the front pocket of my suitcase, inside a Ziploc. If there are marks, I just rub them off before walking over to customs. If they ask you to open the bag, it is a very cursory look inside. A bag with a bunch of pills do not interest them 1 bit. As long as you don't bring drugs in, you will be fine. Do not even think about bringing in pot, or worse. Google "Corby Chapelle", to see what happens to you if you get busted with pot.

But a few Viagra? not a problem. Throw some in your bag, get on a plane, and go have fun. spend some money there, it is badly needed.
