Followup to my report a few days ago.

First though, Dom, were your caddy conquests Bali girls or "other"? There's a number of girls from Java, especially Surabaya..

I only ask that since my research project is focusing on Bali girls, to see how open they are these days to casual sex.

Well the waitress girl turns out to not quite fit the profile. Spent some time with her and learned her story. Grew up in Bali but family originally from Java. Completely gung-ho to go but I didn't partake.

Why?

1. My research is about Bali girls. Java girls are simply too damn easy.

2. She was less attractive in street clothes than I was expecting Strange since I don't find the staff uniform flattering and the golf staff I see in civilian clothes always look better. Therefore, she didn't quite measure up.

3. I could see drama in the future. Potential for a clingy stalker. I want to be hassle free when I visit the Golf club.

The caddy I mentioned is still a project, as are all the staff.. I am just beginning this project but won't bother reporting again until I have something significant to report.

I play occasionally at the new golf course near Dreamland Beach.

I've never seriously considered any of the staff as potential hook-ups before, but now I am reconsidering.

Something interesting happened recently on the golf course.

One day, one of the waitress girls who is always very friendly, took some time to converse with me and ask me some of the usual questions: where you live, how long in Bali, etc.

Well, it turns out we live in the same area, and she was all smiles and said: "If you boring, you can call me".

This seemed to imply quite a bit more than just being a friendly neighbor.

I gave her my number, and soon she texted me so I could have hers too.

We've since traded a few messages, all of them very "friendly", but I've been away some and so haven't had a chance to follow up.

The same day of this waitress conversation, I had a cute caddy who I've had before, and we get along pretty well. Last time I'd seen her was 3 months previous and at that time she asked if I was married/had gf, etc, and she also revealed she had no bf. So, 3 months ago we went out one night for something to eat with one of her friends along. Noting came of it, just a nice meal with a couple of cute girls.

So on this recent golfing day, I learned she now has a boyfriend. I asked where he lives and it is not close by. I suggested that she might like 2 boyfriends, one in each location.

She actually said she thinks that is a good idea.

I am mentioning these events because these are not imported Java girls. They are both 20 year-old balinese girls. I am no spring chicken, well into middle age.

It seems the Bali girls are becoming much more open to "casual" meetings in recent years.

I will report on anything which comes of these two, and will try to expand the number of prospects at the golf course.

I'm very curious to see if one can truly develop a "booty call" relationship with a balinese (non-professional) village girl.

Yes. As you know everything is possible. Some are repeats and they are a GFE. If you know the Sanur girls you know what is possible. I choose not to take them out for drinks as that is not why I call them. But I'm sure that you can do what you wish with them.

I had a massage a few months ago in the massage salon just to the right of the lane leading down to 66X. The massage itself was not very good and the place was very noisy, but she offered a free HJ afterwards, so I ended up with a relaxing experience and payed the 50 k for the massage plus the same in tips for her, so I can't complain.

But if the place you know is different, perhaps I could get a nice massage there too as a bonus. .

You make a very valid point Robert long. Of course, Jakarta is not Bali. (I try to not go to Jkt much). And you use a perfect word in your post. THUGS. Which is indeed what some, or most of these guys are. In many instances, they just show up one day in an area people have been parking for free for years, with their little orange vest and a whistle. Some may have no affiliation at all with the banjar. The fact that some idiot cretin who is a long time Bali resident flips them a bill every time they come scurrying along only exacerbates the problem. Probably trying to impress the new little “istri kampung".

Some of these guys don’t have any ticket, or coupon to give out, and put their money directly into their pocket. Nothing wrong in refusing the ticket, and saying “uang rokok” to them, but is your choice to do, not an imposition. I see many locals not pay. Some people choose to pay, some choose not to. Some forum members should remember that one man's ceiling is another man's floor.

Believe me, when they see the “big ugly bule” with his wife young enough to be his daughter, or actually even his grand daughter, they chuckle with disdain, when he hands them a bill. And IF in fact, they do work for the banjar, what percentage of their winnings do you actually think they hand over? Not a bad job for them, for the second most corrupt country in the world. I often wonder how much it cost for them to get this job. I know the polisi pay a small fortune to secure their job in a good lokasi. Some wife of a local cop a few years ago, admitted she spends 2 hours every night, ironing the crumpled bills the cop took off some poor local sap, who had the misfortune to stop at the lampu merah 30 cm past the white line.

I have no problem paying for a service, as long as there is actually a service, no matter how small. However, I have never found the “tukang parkir” are able to do much, as my bike is too big for them, and they are afraid to touch it. I mean, all I ever see them do is run up to me with their hand extended as I get ready to leave. And by the way, contrary to what some dickwad might say, the fee, even tough it may have been set by the local council, varies from 1,000 to 500 to even 100, depending on how much change the person may have on them at the time..

For me, it is not about the 8 cents; it’s the idea to have to pay to park for 2 minutes while I walk into Circle K to buy a bottle of water, or pay to walk into a restaurant to spend money. I spend my money inside, not outside.

amjeck, don't know where you spend your time, but there is a very good computer shop in seminyak, called bali vision computers, on jl legian, directly opposite a dry cleaners, called "5 a sec". it is right next to a hardware store, on the east side of the street. (non ocean side)they have a lot of the newer gadgets there, and can also get everything working properly. i think you can probably also pick something up at carrefour, though i don't know if the sales staff will be as knowledgable. don't have speed numbers, but it works well. faster than some internet shops. it might take a while to download movie clips, etc. but for every day work, a friend of mine swears by it. btw, more and more restaurants and bars affer free wi-fi. you can order a meal, and sit there for hours. chat cafe on the corner of sunset road anf jl kunti is always full of people with their laptops.

bali vision is also very good at fixing computer problems, upgrades, etc. tell them 1ball sent you.

ps. no tukang parkir in front of the shop either.

how fast it the up and down? you can just hook it up to your laptop anywhere in kuta or legion and you have internet?

can this devise only be purchased in denpasar?

i think the down speed i get is 256 (that what number i see on the modem control panel so i am not sure, i am no computer whizkid). yes you just put the disc in and run set up and install it and just plug it into a usb, it works well in kuta where i am at the moment although it can get a bit slow at peak times of the day so i try use mine at night or 6 to 8 am. i am not sure if they sell them anywhere in area but the primo store in denpasar has many shops all pc related and i would think the cheapest place to buy a item like this. to put credit on it you just take the sim card out the modem and take to phone shop and ask them to top it up with amount you require.
