Welcome to Indonesia, ain't lion air great?

To add insult to injury, last year, they refused to let my assistant sit at an emergency exit with me.

"Women are not allowed to sit in emergency exit seats", was their explanation.

    Lion Air

Absolutely guaranteed to be late especially if its a afternoon flight because as the day progresses every flights lateness is compounded onto the arvo flights.

Make sure to order a emergency exit seat as they have the most cramped up seating I have ever experienced.

I just flew to Bali a month ago and the flight was 2 hours late and this was at 11 in the morning so we left the departure satellite area at Cengkareng due to no available seats and went back to one of the resto lounges inside the main building. I went back an 1 1/2 hours later to check and the plane had already left with all of our luggage and surfboards. There was no mention of the flight leaving over the speakers but so much for aircraft security as my luggage left without me or my GF.

I vowed never to fly with them again as I will pay the extra cash and fly Garuda.

I got Lion's same fare buying with cash at the airport that they had online the month earlier just over a week in advance once I had landed in CGK. That was for a flight from Jogya to Bali the following week. Depending upon where you are going in Indonesia, most of Lion's one way fares are in the $65-120 US range. The one I bought was for 570K Rupiah, which was around $65

I am currently in Bali and tried to book my flight to Batam on Lion Air on line.

All my 7 credit cards and ATM (=debit) cards, all with immaculate credit rating and more than adequate line of credit, from the USA, Euro and non-Euro European countries were declined."An Error occured, please try again". No further exlanation!

I tried to call Lion Air at DPS airport, but no-one was there "until 2, 5 hours before the next flight".

So I finally had to go to a travel agent, who not only issued my ticket, accepting my credit card for payment, for about 5% less than the on-line fare.

How's that for Lion Air assholes customer service

    Pelangi spa

First real visit to pelangi spa last week. Location on the bypass as you drive towards Jimbaran from Kuta on your left just after the airport, flashing lights at night. 50k entrance with a beer included. Should mention it's a misleading name, there is no spa at all in this place haha. It's set up as a nightclub, very dark with sofas round the sides. Walk in and immediately go to the table with all the girls on it. See one girl and straight away decide I want her without even seeing the rest. So hot, gorgeous body, sexy heels, white miniskirt and super cute young face, I start talking to her she is 19 and only been in Bali one month. The boys order the line up of girls theres a good selection but I have the jackpot. I think it was 50k per hour for the girl to 'accompany' you.

Within 10 minutes I'm kissing this girl and she's clearly into it. One friend can't help himself and takes his new 'friend' downstairs, while me and another pal decide to move to one of the sofas. We are all over the girls there they are fully into it, making out with us, my pals one is grinding away on him while mine sits on my lap and I finger her and rub her titties. Right there in the club it's clear what we're doing but the girls don't care = Very cool! Anyway they are driving us crazy mine asks me to go downstairs with her. The deal there is 490k to take the girl to a room and have your way (they might try and charge more if you don't speak bahasa so say you have been before and you know the price) I ask her how long. She says half an hour! Now this girl is stunning so there's no way I'm going to fit everything into 30 measly minutes. I don't asnwer her and carry on getting hot and heavy with her. She says 'do you want to get out of here? ' I say but you're working aren't you? ' 'No I already finish at midnight' 'Ok yes lets go. Do you want to come back to mine? ' She says yes so we go out an take her back to mine.

Absolute jackpot! This girl is into it and no mention of money at all! I keep her heels on as I lick on her delicious titties, she gives an awesome BB BJ, I didn't lick her out (for obvious reasons. Her line of work etc haha). Jonny up, and just before I start the pounding I look into her eyes and say 'so. What do you want here. ? ' She says 'I just want you. ' Wow! Awesome! A professional WG and doesn't even want to talk money. Well of course I dismantle this honey in every position for an hour or so. She stays the night, I get another BJ in the morning, take some photos and slam her again. As a courtesy to her profession I give her 150k for taxi fare. She has since been calling smsing and has come round again to my place in stunning outfit. Great while it lasted but she has since asked me to ¨help her' with her rent. 2 juta. I laughed at her and asked to help with mine first.

BTW they have a happy hour with the girls, I think its 400k before 6pm.

Pelangi Spa fairly expensive for Bali but a great time and the girls are really into it and give awesome service.

    Bali Weather and Travel. Com

After a couple of weeks without having a look at this site I was hoping for some interesting reports. What a massive let down. Yes there's some rubbish on the beach it's full moon. Yes there are cheap flights from JK to Bali. Lion air is $40 each way usually. Enough! Go to another site if you want travel and weather reports haha!

Back to business = Two new venues for people to investigate.

    1. A new Body Arum Spa has opened in jimbaran (not sure how long I saw it a couple months back so still fairly new) This is the same Spa in Denpasar with the famous 'beer massage'. I went in and had a look but a cute girl tried to palm me off with a not so cute girl so I left. Located on the main road jalan raya uluwatu through Jimbaran parallel to the Bypass, on your left as you go north toward kuta.

    2. A new Rosalinda Spa has opened on mushroom alley in Kuta (right next to Bemo corner at the end of legian street the first left is mushroom alley you will see some girls on the corner) There are now 3 rosalinda spas, one on jalan Nakula (straight up from jalan 66 3 mins past the mini mart on your left) one on jalan legian (going south down jln legian just after the ¨double D sports bar' is a small gang, just up the gang on your left) and now this one next to bemo corner. Slight variation in name, its called rosalinda angel spa, nice coincidence for angel spa fans! RTF for Rosalinda info but the basics are as follows. Mix of hags, average and very cute young balinese girls in all 3 locations. 100k gets 1 hour massage with happy ending, generally an extra 50k-100k for BB BJ. I had two young honies chowing down at the same time for about 250k at the jln legian 'spa'. Actually the nakula one is even cheaper. I recall two girls massaging my equipment at the same time for just 50k!

Pelangi report to follow! Let's get back on track gents!

My understanding is that it is from trash that has been sitting in rivers upstream all year and when the rainy season is upon us, it all gets flushed out to sea.

Please elaborate on the 300% tax.

Of course, as Robert Long mentionned, prices are out of control. The 300% tax imposed on imported goods doesn't help.

According to expedia and travelocity, I will have to pay a king's ransom to get to Bali from Manila this May.

Could someone advise me on the most intelligent and economical way of traveling between Manila and Bali?

Also, I'm a photography buff, so I plan to bring along some gear. Can a foreigner carry a professional camera around Bali without that nagging fear, as in Manila?

    Thanks in advance.

    Gumby.
Cebu pacific is do-able. Late night flight but you have to stay in Jakarta for a night. Then to Bali the next day. Also check Tiger Airlines. They offer service from Manila to Singapore. And you can get service from Singapore to Bali via Air Asia. If you travel Cebu Pacific. They even weigh your carry on luggage and add it to your check luggage! Air Asia does not do this. Tiger airlines. I fly back this Monday with them from Sing. To Manila. I have used Tiger before. Just we aware that Cebu Pacific and Tiger have the most uncomfortable seats ever. They are out to get every dime they can. And really scrimp on the planes even though they are fairly new.

    Ya! It's Raining.

And flooding, and potholes everywhere, and traffic is terrible. The the fu*king big busses that do not belong on any Jl. In Bali are just terrible. They cause traffic jams as they make their way down a small Jl. Trying to get the bus load of Asian tourists to a Cafe in the back roads of Ubud.

Just another day in paradise. But whats alarming is the cost of everything. Man, inflation is over 10%. I walk into Bali Deli and I am shocked at the prices. Double that of Hawaii on many items. Austrailian Wine that I pay $7. 50 in Hawaii is 375, 000 rp in Bali Deli. Thats around $40. 00, and Australia is next door to Bali.

What ever happened to the good old daze? Lucky I have a home here and a mobile.
