So, just thought I would share my experiences last night.

* Wandered down from my accommodation and had a quick beer in the 19th hole. (JHl Danau Poso) Just me and the owner and her husband and a barmaid in the place, had a nice chat about Aussie rules footie then followed his recommendation to head down to Coconuts.

* Coconut Bar (Jl Danau Poso): friendly welcome but the 3 girls working the place were just a bit too old and fat for the level of "in your face" attention they were giving. Quick beer and moved on to:

* Angelines Bar (Jl Danau Poso): much cooler place, good music, couple of girls working but they were also a bit old and fat however they were very "light touch" and it was nice just talking to them (had a couple of beers then left a good-sized tip).

Now I Grabbed to the Circle K on Setia Budi and walked around to the little cluster of massage places on the Bypass.

* First of all I called into Angel Spa. The girls there were 6/10 at best and the opening offer was 500 K!! So I politely declined and went (almost) next door to Mawa.

* At Mawa, prices quoted were much more reasonable (350 k / h) but I didn't see anyone who really did it for me so on to Pelangi 88 Spa.

* At Pelangi 88, I was quoted 100 k for 1 hour but my request to see the girls was turned down flat. Nonetheless I decided to roll the dice and see what befell me. As it turned out, this was both a weird and wonderful experience. Shown into a curtained work space (maybe 16 mattresses in there?) and directed to change into a pair of pyjamas. Beefy grandma comes in and spends a good hour wrestling me into submission Nothing remotely sexual occurred, but it was a great Thai massage. Gave her a nice tip and got a big smile and Terima Kasih in return.

* Once outside again, debated looking in on Mawa but decided I was hungry so thought I would try my luck at the Korean restaurant there, Bibimbap.

* At Bibimbap had an absolutely fantastic meal, I mean really really good. I would go back to this location just for the food. Drank 3 large Bintangs and was ready for action.

* Back in Mawa, the receptionist lined up 3 choices but they were leaving me limp. She was OK though, so I said: "you? This caused a bit of controversy in the group but after a minute or two of Indo back and forth, she led me to a room. Dara was her name and she was pretty good. As soon as I was in there I asked her to get naked and give body to body and she was straight on the job; almost too enthusiastically as within a couple of minutes she was on top of my and guiding me to an unprotected entry No issue with using a condom though, nice fuck followed then a decent blowjob and finally I skullfucked her then glazed her face. We cleaned up swapped numbers and I walked back around to Circle K to order my Grab home.

All in all, one pretty good night in Bali.

OK so what is a fishbowl?

Imagine a fucking big aquarium with stadium like seating for between 10 and 100 girls. The girls remain seated and wear numbers. The guy (s) walk past the glass, in a separate room and pick which number they like. She leaves through a side door and they meet in an attached room or hotel. Sometimes the same selection process is used at karaokes. The glass is allegedly one way but who knows.

OK so what is a fishbowl?

It's brothel with a room or building with big glass windows. Girls sit inside, under bright lights, waiting to be picked. Customers hang out on the other side of the glass, trying to decide which girl has that magic combo of looks and enthusiasm. Too much of the former and not enough of the latter may result in a choice that you will regret.

In Thailand, some of the fishbowl places are quite large and upscale. Services can include nuru massage, a dip in a big bath, and FS.

In Sanur, fishbowls are usually small, spartan, and all about down and dirty sex. Choose the right girl, though, and you can have a great time. Choose the wrong girl and you are only out about 250,000 rupiah. You can also pick another girl and try your luck a second time.

I'm not sure what other countries have fish bowls. Anyone care to report?

You are given around one hour and you have to pay IDR 250 k. You just have to hand over the money to the man who brings the girl. If he says that it's IDR 300 k, just walk away. He will surely call you back as he has to run the business of hiring the rooms and gets a cut from the amount you pay.

The most important thing is that there should be a good chemistry between the girl and you. If this is so, you will get the best sex that you would dream of. Far better than the expensive Kuta girls.

Last time I was in the X houses was 2 years ago. Going alone without a local guide is cheaper as they get a commission for each customer. Will usually add about 5-10 to overall price. I remember paying less than or about $15 max. And this included the room. Don't remember the time limit but it was about 35 min. But that was 2 yrs ago so prices might have changed.

Stay away from Kuta and the southwest side of the island in general for working girls. In Kuta area the only good girls will ask 200+ USD and are not anything special. Yes some are quite hot but it is not worth it. You'll also have to contend with pickpockets and scammers of many types in this area at night.

Sanur is such a chill place. Can not emphasize how relaxed the atmosphere is here and the genuine nature of the locals in the area. Huge contrast from Kuta and the west side of the island.

Kuta is a shit hole, plain and simple. Too many hustlers trying to sell you junk. There are some good restaurants that serve good food, dirt cheap but that's about it. Shit, even the Uber driver I called refused to take to the Swell Spa, and wanted to take me somewhere else. Now when the Uber driver tries to hustle you, you know it is a bad scene. (I was later told the regular cabs were the way to go, but can you blame me for not trusting cab drivers in a place where the locals are all hustling tourists?) I got the runaround from girls trying to take me to brothels with unremarkable girls are astronomical prices. Sanur was the complete opposite, as you explained. Laid back, friendly, cheap and abundant brothels. I really look forward to going back, but were are looking at 30+ hours travel time from where I live. I just came back from Brazil, which was awesome and only 12 hours even with a connecting flight. So Asia is suddenly less inviting. But, for those who could hit Bali with reasonable cost and travel time, I recommend it if you enjoy Asian girls in cheap brothels who can provide surprisingly good service.

Hey guys, posting several reports here of various fishbowls in Bali.

Went to the 14 X fishbowl with my local handler. The girl allowed no condom. Still decided to wrap it up. She gave a good BBBJ. The place had no aircon. Cost was around 20 USD. The girl said she was 25. I'd give her a 7/10 looks wise. A bit hardened but still a sweet temperament. It was located on the corner of Jl Tirta Ening and Jl Tirta Ening II.

67 X where most WGs are found is located on Jalan Danau Poso and is a few meters away from Circle K on the same road.

Just wonder which Circle K you are referring to? The one on Jl. Danau Poso? Or the one on the Bypass (Ngurah Rai Street)?

The one on Danau Poso. If he's not referring to the one on Danau Poso, you should visit the one on Danau Poso any way. There are a couple of brothels in that alley.

Interesting thing is some girls are off limits to foreigners. I persisted to have one girl that refused to go with non-Indonesian guys apparently. No big deal as there was another similarly hot woman to choose from.

The room there had a weak aircon and room was warm. Not a bad location and easy to find. Tons of local guys. Never saw any other white guys around here.

Rent a motor bike and drive, or take a Grab taxi, out to Sanur after 9 PM. The girls work until 5 or 6 AM, depending on the night. Dozens of girls and enough to keep any man happy for a long vacation.

Best part of Sanur was a vendor next to the street that leads to the fishbowl next to the Circle K. It's a mom & pop food vendor that sells the coconut liquor arak. He said it is home made and high quality. We split a bottle with a few people and had a fantastic evening drinking the liquor, eating his food, and going around fucking the beautiful young girls of Bali.

Some great advice in these posts CaliTexMex. Sounds like the x houses are varying in quality. Is there any reason you decided to visit the x houses instead of getting delivery to your hotel?

Forgot the number. I think it was 14? It was just north of the highway.

Took my second girl from there who was forgettable. Saw her smoking outside and had a skinny body so she would do. Was really in stomping mode so she was doable.

The handler took me to a shitty place that was same price as 55 X yet had no aircon and terrible lighting. The room looked nicer, however. The fans don't make up for it.

Never saw anything great in this fishbowl my whole stay.
