Yes, agreed. Strange how slow Indonesia has been on these things, but I guess they are less reliant on international visitors than Thailand or Singapore.

Terms.

The government will require foreigners who want to travel to Bali and Riau Islands to have a B211 A tourist visit visa with a travel company guarantor, not individuals.

Foreign tourists who will travel in the two regions are also required to follow the arrival protocol for international travellers. This provision is regulated in the Circular of the Head of the COVID-19 Handling Task Force number 2 of 2022.

These requirements include:

A complete course of COVID-19 vaccination, with a certificate.

RT-PCR test results.

Proof of ownership of health insurance.

Proof of confirmation of accommodation payment.

Entering Bali.

In a release received by KONTAN, three airlines have received permits to enter Bali. These are:

Garuda Indonesia with the Narita-Japan route on 2nd February.

Singapore Airlines with the Singapore-Bali route on 16th February.

Batik Air with the route Bali-Singapore on 16th February.

Up to the time of publication, the government has not issued further details of Bali's international opening.

Another girl I picked said she works 8 pm to 4 am. With those working hours, you can approximate the business hours of the X houses.

About a block away from the Circle K heading towards the downtown area of Sanur are more X Houses. They were not fishbowls, but the moto drivers said the girls were 1 to 3 minutes away by moto. This typical conversation would follow: They would ask me what I want and that he'll bring the girls to me. I would say I didn't want to wait, and he would offer to drive me to the girls. This got me wondering if some of the fishbowls are shared amongst the collective X Houses. All these conversations were in English. I didn't take these particular moto drivers on their offer, but I did eventually take the offer of a motor driver that was particularly insistent.

I had met him in front of the Circle K on my way to the popular fishbowl. He was very persistent on driving me to his girls. I finally relented after a while and hopped on his moto. After about 3 minutes to the other side of an arterial road, I was in an entirely new area with many more X Houses. He took me to a fishbowl and the room was empty. He told me to wait and slowly the girls started trickling in. All but a couple of the 15 or so girls were large. I asked him the price and he said, "400". I said, "no". And he said, "How much you want? And I said, "200". He said. "OK, but 50 for room". I said, "OK". Total: 250 k. I picked one of the normal shaped girls and her performance was better. Unlimited positions, but she was a rusher. She wanted 50 tip for BJ and started our session by asking the question "condom or no condom? Interesting question. After the session, the moto driver brought me back and wished me well. What was odd was that he didn't ask for a tip. He just drove away. Shrug.

Everything described in previous posts about the Sanur X Houses being poor and low-class is mostly true. I didn't go during the daytime so I couldn't tell how dirty everything was, but the bathrooms were clean enough. It consisted of a clean squat potty and a garden hose to wash yourself.

To summarize, the Sanur night was novel, but not worth repeating. I spent 250 and 300 between the two girls. One gave me a poor experience and the other gave me an okay experience. If you're tired of the Kuta scene and want something different give it a shot. I think with managed expectations, it's not that bad.

The sanur weekly newspaper from March 24th quotes the health minister stating international tourism won't be allowed before April 2022.

What would be the purpose at this point of preventing tourists from coming to Bali? The infection and positivity rate in Indonesia is the highest in South East Asia. This governmental regulation isn't designed to control infection rates when seriously the people arriving (mostly from Australia) are far likelier to be healthier than native Indonesians.
