1. No idea anymore I'm afraid, it is several months ago.

2. You are correct in your assumption. I have not tried the one on Jl Mertanadi, I actually lived very nearby and had a bit of a distinctive car thus did not want to risk being spotted going in.

3. Was a place near the Gangsa hotel, I'm not too great to explain locations, but I believe it was on Jalan Tirta Akasa. It was actually the girl that showed me the place. She told me that young Balinese couples use those places for some "private time" since they almost always still live with their parents.

Got there 10.30 am closed. There hours are 11 am and girls not ready. Price 1 hour stand massage Rp250,000 and Vip Rp400,000. What you get for your money? I walk away and did not want to waste my money on a maybe a cock pull. The place is clean and up market and good parking. To me there is not a lot of differences between standard or VIP rooms in size. But in service I do not know.

I would like to visit 57 when I am in Bali. Question. I am fairly young 23. If I hand over 200 k will the Papasan think it is disrespectful and try to steal the money from me? I'm not looking into getting in any trouble. Has anyone ever been robbed at these houses?

How touching that you are worried about being disrespectful to a pimp! Rather, by just handing over 200 k without asking the price, you might earn his respect appearing as an old hand.

About being robbed: Usual precaution is enough. There are a few (very few!) reports about the girl taking cash from the punter's pocket. I once forgot my waist bag in the room, and when I returned half an hour later the papasan saw me coming and handed it over to me directly. Of course I gave him a tip, though he didn't ask for it.

Since you are "fairly young" I trust you have RTFFed and have read the introduction in the Bali Monger Map so you know the difference between ST hotels (like 57) and fishbowls (like 23 [sic!] and 505).

Walking on the streets of Sanur stripped to the waist is disrespectful.

I think it was Barri that 'established' the 3-level rating system for ST rooms in his Absolute Sanur X report, re-posted not too long ago:

Room std:
= Standard: What you can expect: reasonable clean bed, hose 'shower', fan and a mirror.
- Below standard: dirty sheets or quirky bed, no or small mirror, bad smell.
+ Over standard: AC instead of fan, or big mirror, or proper shower (still cold water.)

Of course you cannot compare ST rooms with rooms in normal hotels. An ST room would not even get a single star on the normal scale. So below that 'normal' scale is the ST room scale.

The room in 57 had air-conn, big mirror along the bed, bath room where the shower actually worked and the bed sheets seemed clean.

I found a picture I took at 3B Sekar Waru a year ago: small room, fan (no air-conn), no mirror and a hose in the bathroom. And the bed not particularly inviting. So this is the other end of the ST room scale. Probably a double minus in Barri's scale. (I have to admit I passed on this one, in combination with the girl that was offered.).

Actually I don't know if there is any reason to have a rating for the ST rooms; mongers don't seem to care much. Barri suggests that "Instead of one overall standard setting maybe it should be split up, like 'cleanliness', 'bed', 'shower', 'A/C or fan', 'light' etc. ", but probably that is information that will not be used anyway. E. g. some guys always go to 11X because they are 'old friend with the papasan'.

I'm a complete newbie to the scene in Bali, but not Bali itself. I've been to Bali 5 or so times in the past but haven't visited any of the nightspots or "X" houses or anything like that. The most I did was seek a happy ending at a few of the massage places in Tijuana Benoa (where I was staying most of the times I visited). The happy endings were hit and miss. Some just straight up said "No", others wanted exorbitant prices (one was set on charging me the equivalent of $70 for a HJ and would not have any negotiation at all. Mid 40's and a big girl too!) The best that I had found was a dodgy little massage place that did happy endings for 70,000 rp from what I remember. That was on my second visit in 2009, that place is unfortunately shut down.

Basically, me and a few friends are going to be heading up to Bali in 15 days or so. We're going to be staying in Legian, right in the center of it all. I've done a lot of reading and searching of this forum and have found some good info but still have a myriad of questions. If anyone could help me out with these questions, I'd really appreciate it.

1. What is the min-max price to pay for sex? (Brothels, FLs, WGs, Massage, etc).

- I've read a lot of different prices on a lot of different websites. I suspect that a lot of these prices may be outdated or posted from years ago.

2. Do any of the girls allow photography and is this something that should be paid extra for (and how much)?

3. Are 3-hole girls common in Bali, is this something that has to be paid extra for (Anal)? Are these girls common in brothels?

4. Are there any security concerns with bringing a girl back to our hotel? I. e. Will she roofie our drinks and leave with the hotel safe? Does this happen? (I've heard of it happening quite a lot in Thailand).

It's been 4 days since you posted your request as your ONLY post ever here on ISG, and no replies yet, which should tell you something, which is RTFF!!

Yes, take a few minutes to read the forum and you'll find, for example:

#1 - many recent posts have included up-to-date prices. Please don't overpay.

#2 - hit or miss as to whether or not the girl allows photos, totally depends on the girl. Some girls might say yes to a photo but only if you don't include their face if they are nude, while others will immediately strip naked and strike several poses.

#3 - 3-hole girls are out there but are not that common, and yes you'll probably have to pay extra if the girl does agree to doing so. Again, totally depends on the girl; many Indonesian girls would refuse to do it even if you offered a large tip, but some might be tempted if the money is big enough.

#4 - considering that most hotel safes are installed directly into a wall, I doubt if you'll pick up any working girl in Bali who has the strength to pull the safe out of the wall and walk away with it. Seriously, you should take basic security cautions (as you should anywhere) but the chances of getting roofies in your drink is pretty small.

#5 - don't know this particular hotel but most hotels in Bali are guest-friendly.

Visit in 3rd week of December. Can confirm freelancers are (still) available in Paddies and Skygarden. The going rate was 700 k to 1 mill. Idr for ST. Most girls did not want to go LT, maybe it was to early in the evening, as they might have envisioned another client at a later stage during the night. I found the best looking ones at Skygarden, had two during my 2 day stay in Bali.
