Hi there,

I though Bali was supposed to be more expensive than Jakarata. Or are we looking at more expensive in terms of other travel expenses (lodging, food and beverage, transport, etc.)? I know that's just part of the equation. Is there some downside that I am missing something or is this just a great place to monger?

For casual visitors it can be expensive. The places that cater mainly for tourists and the freelancers in the nightclubs can be expensive, sometimes even by US / Australian standards. But with some patience, exploring and wise bargaining you can find abundant young lovelies in Bali willing to do the deed for the equivalent of $20 or less.

Be patient, my friend. Things have not gone up that much. I just turned down offers of 500 and 700. With perseverance you should not end up paying more than 400 k and there are still some lovelies available in the 2-300 range.

Well, probably need much more perseverance than I have time for. So far, on the apps have never gotten an offer below 700 K out of 20+ girls. About 40% won't budge from 1-1. 2 jt. 55% won't go below 800 K. Then one went down to 700 K. When I offer 400,500, even 600, they laugh and say f* off in various ways LOL.
