I was in the area and had a look see at these spots. Normally I'm seeking a somewhat decent massage followed by some fun.

Risca had two girls but it looked as if there wasn't a decent massage to be had so I took a look across the street at Magic Hands. The group of five middle aged and up women hanging out and smoking was not an inviting picture but I did notice a youngish girl outside sweeping and after asking her for massage, in we went. Massage was decent as I had hoped and nego started at 300 for HJ. Countered with 200 which she agreed on but went back up to 300 to get her clothes off. BJ was not on offer. DATY served, overall not really enthusiastic on her part but she was at least game. Many of these types of massage places all over Denpasar area but this place is more clean and a better facility.

Just when I thought there was no fun to be had in Ubud massage shops. Was walking west from the Arts Market (see Starbucks on map) around lunchtime and passed a massage shop with some pretty girls sitting outside on the step. MiChat girls are the cheapest girls here. They mainly cater to locals from what I can tell. It's normal that their price is between 300-500 k and you'll meet them at some random shitty guest house / kos kosan that they're staying at temporarily. They are usually not very attractive and offer bad service. The places usually have bad vibes, and they expect you to finish within 5-10 minutes. I think it's the normal length of sex with local guys.

The only reason to try them out is if you're super broke, or if you want to experience terrible sex.

It's a geographical thing, The bogans have to holiday somewhere, think Britons and Ibiza, Americans and Mexico. If the governor wanted to have a really killer thought bubble, he should close down all the tattooo parlours. That would stop them coming in a flash. Then he could follow up with a lecture to all his fellow Indonesians about throwing their trash everywhere and he may be heading in the right direction.
