That's a good price, but Nesa is a bit far away from the action end of Sanur. Has anyone stayed there and brought a lady back to their room? What was your experience in doing this? I'm yet to find a hotel in Sanur where this is actually doable.

My trip is in November and I have not started reading the posts in completeness yet. I'll do that with about 3 months to go. I just check the latest posts to stay in touch. When you say, "Nesa is a bit far away from the action end of Sanur", what do you actually mean? Is it far from beaches, or far from bars / night clubs, or far from Sansur mongering spots, or far from the Sansur downtown etc. ? Thanks.

I just checked the Sanur prices for hotels on the web. Almost all hotels on the web have prices $100 USD or over with many in the $200 plus range. As for me, I just found a two story 1 bedroom villa with AIR BnB a few minutes walk west from their Main Street for $50 per night.

Did not know about Shuga MO. Read this forum but can't say I have perused every report.

At any of the fishbowls, once you've picked a girl just take 200,000 rp from your pocket and hand to the papasan. Don't ask how much it costs or enter any negotiation. Just give him the money and walk off with the girl. This will show him you know what you're doing and how much it costs and he won't try to rip you off. On my first time in Sanur (before I'd read Shuga's MO) I made the mistake of asking a price and ended up paying 400,000. Since then I've only ever paid 200,000. The exception to this is the places that go out to get a girl for you; they've charged me 250,000. When I've given the guy 200,000 he's told me that it's not enough.

Also, don't forget that you need to tip the girl when you're done if you're happy with the service. I give 50,000 as a standard amount and they've always been happy with that.

Ok. Actually could not find DCorner but did see Snack Shack on that corner. Now at DD bar across from Snack Shack. Some girls but the cutest one from Surubaya here for only a month already locked down with an Aussie BF.

on the backside of the spa (gang down the left of the spa) and is open from 8 pm till around 3 am. The spa, however, closes at 8 pm, if I remember correctly.

In Sanur for a few days. My first foray was to 67 x behind Circle K. On Friday night, there was a large selection of girls, some attractive. Selected a beauty from Jakarta. Or they can take a page out of the Thailand business model and raise prices to offset the decline in revenue.

I don't know if they offer better prices to walk ups but that appears to be a dying trend in the hotel biz overall. Now they just point to the rack rate.

Can't say I know as I don't drink there.

What I can tell you is Triple be will close in late August.

But re-open down the road on the other side.

The owner of the land (77 X) died recently and the son will not renew the lease.

I did an audit on this bar as a mate was interested in buying it but I soon changed his mind!!

No money to made there with out significant cash input and little chance of a good return.

My assessment is that most of the bars are struggling in Sanur at the moment apart from perhaps Casablanca.

Hotels are running at 30% occupancy so it figures the bars are struggling too.

That is hard to believe considering all the 747's and large Airbus landing in Bali. But after reconsidering the fact that those are mostly Chinese, Korean and Taiwanese tour groups it is possible.

Sanur is mainly FIt's (free independent travelers), that are families that are composed of European and Americans. But 30% is a shock. I remember after Sep 2002 .

You couldn't find a tourists. But to be that low is amazing.

You guys that are paying these insane prices at the Spas are crazy. Go to BKK and get better treatment for $65.00 for 2 hours. You are driving up the price by paying that much. The average wage in Bali is 2 juta a month. That's roughly $ 260.00.

In my quest to try more upmarket places I next went to Riverview Spa.

It's easy to find and I was staying reasonably close by in Seminyak so I just walked there. I was greeted by two guys and one of them explained the services to me in English. I chose the Luxury Room (the VIP room was in use, but I wouldn't have chosen it anyway as the only difference is that it seems to have a pool), with two girls for two hours. They then brought out the only three girls that were available. All three were attractive and early to mid twenties. I chose one and asked her to pick the other girl. The total cost was 2.3 M.

The girls then took me upstairs to the large room, undressed me and started the massage. They started off wearing kimonos and their massage skills were excellent. On my latest trip to Bali I decided to try some more upmarket places.

First stop was Bali Exotique Spa in Renon. I went there by taxi and it's a little out of the way so the taxi driver had some difficulty finding it but we got there eventually.

The premises are good, although just starting to get a little old and worn but nothing major. The photos on their website accurately show what the place looks like. I was greeted by the female receptionists and it quickly became apparent that they don't see a lot of bule here as everything was conducted in Indonesian. Fortunately my Indonesian is reasonable but she went through the options very quickly and so I wasn't clear on precisely what was different for each package so I just went for the 'full service' package which was 900 k for two hours. She then showed me photos of the girls on her phone and I selected one that appealed to me.

The receptionist then took me to the room which included a spa and a separate bathroom and I waited until I was joined by my 'therapist' whose name was Renata. She was attractive with a good body, although I later discovered some stretch marks on her belly. She undressed me and then led me to the large bed like massage table and started an excellent massage with her initially dressed but then removing her clothing until she was naked so she was able to give me a body slide and rub her pussy all over me. Her massage skills were excellent.
