It looks like I'll be visiting you folks soon for the very first time. I've made multiple trips to Bangkok, Pattaya, Manila, Angeles and Medellin and was curious about Indonesia. I really wanted to go to Jakarta but from the 30 pages of reports I read, it really sounds like a shithole that's been hit hard with inflation, just like Kuala Lumpur (Another Place I really wanted to visit).

I realize Sanur seems to be the popular choice where mongers will stay for a week or two. After reading 30 pages of the Bali thread and studying the Bali Monger Map, It seems Kuta is a bit more lively at night with clubs and bars? Compared to Sanur that seems to be a lot more relaxing with a better beach and made up of fish bowls and massage places? Is there any action at night in Sanur like clubs and bars? Is it also possible to get take out action for LT in Sanur with pretty good GFE on the value?

Any help and tips would be appreciated guys,

There is nothing to see diving or snorkeling in Sanur. The ocean bottom is sandy and barren down here.

Most dive shops are in Tulamben on North East coast. There are many hotels and resorts for divers in Tulamben, from $10 to $100 a night. Most are family run resorts. Some include 3 meals a day, depending on your negotiation. Look into the google map under Tulamben.

But Sanur offers all sorts of girls and the shop keepers are pretty and friendly. You may want to stay in Sanur for 1 or 2 nights to arrange for girls to take to Tulamben. Sanur 14a, Angel City, Tantangan salon and spa. 66x. 89, village Arum and day spa, Oasis. 505 & Mawar are apparently the best places by the sounds of it.
