I concur the Conrad whilst a lovely Hotel and as with Nusa Dua area is not helpful for punters.

I have a Villa in Seminyak which rents for the same or less dollars than the Conrad and whats better than having your own enclosed villa and pool complex to wander around with your naked hookups. There are lots of Villas in much better possies than the Conrad.

Bali is not the place to pick a 4 star to stay at for the Bali experience. You
want to get a small bungalow type setting with an outdoor breakfest area.
On the beach or very close.
Forget the Conrads and the Hard Rocks. This is Bali not Jakarta or any other
big city. Check out the internet and the photos of the quaint small family
owned hotels, bungalows and Lossman.
Usually the rooms surround a pool area or overlook the beach. You can walk down the beach or just lounge by the ocean.
And as far as Kuta is concerned, it's a place to visit, not a place to stay.

Bali is not so much affected by Ramadhan (NB it's Hindu) but if you are looking for a mongering location, Jakarta is better, even during Ramadhan, than Bali ever is.

I stayed there 3-4 weeks ago, but with a GF from JKT, so I didn't pick up any girls. However you don't have to pass through the reception, which is located in a separate building, to get to your room. The rooms are spread out in other "cottages". It's a good choice, recomended.

I'm planning to come to Bali in August and hope that it is a good mongering time - just before Ramadan. Last year's report indicated this so I'm hoping.

Please define what kind of "threesome" you are looking for - two girls and you? or you, your girlfriend and another guy? There's a big difference!

Since some days I am in Bali now and give it a try here. The scene here seems to be quite different to what I know from China (where I am living) and Thailand.
