I was following your story with some interest, Iam the same age as you and have had some close shaves myself.
I was just wondering if you could finish the gaps ,as there is probably some good info for fellow Mongers, about some of the traps that are around.
Regards

Posts: 118New massge parlour: Melati massage
Finally in Bali a new, clean and nice place to relax and have fun.
Just opened one week ago on Jalan Dewi Sri. Neer Kuta Galleria.
One hour and a half body massage is 150k and girls from 1 to 5 give you full service. I understood from the receptionist that was pushing me to select one of them. Stupid me that did not trust her and select number 7. Very pretty and young girl from Bandung, but she just offers HJ. 200k.
In a couple of weeks the 3 rd floor is going to be open with VIP room.
It's nice, clean have a bar, a sauna, 2 hidromassage swimming pool room with lcd tv.
I'll go back again.
Have fun guys

Posts: 20Purging the inner cream puff
Hi guys,
Sorry this is a little mundane but have tried to PM a few people with this info to no avail. I am back in Bali for more more of a nut kicking, ball breaking good time in around a week (after last November's debacle and want a tip for a hotel-preferably around Lgian/Tuban near to or on the beach for around AUD$25-40 per night (basic-air con/tv). Having nailed down some premises, with laptop in hand I will then pump out some reports on local action and observations and hopefully will have hardened up a little and said goodbye to my inner creampuff-which is what got me into trouble last time.
Thanks for any help.

But why let the sexual characteristics of the two locations drive your accommodation choices. Taxis are plentiful (too plentiful we residents would contend) and cheap, so you can stay wherever you like and still indulge.

I've never been to Indonesia, so have started to read the many subforums here. Sometimes its difficult to see the forest through the trees. I keep seeing references to Kuta and Sanur and get the impression that Sanur is a cheaper mongering destination. So could someone characterize the two areas and suggest what type of guy prefers each area? I"m early sixties, in great shape, adventurous, well traveled (see my posts), prefer moderate priced accommodations in nice settings (beach) with daytime attractions (meaning tourist stuff as well as lady action). I like to get to bed earlier than later. Is Kuta or Sanur my best bet? And I'll keep reading...as I tend to research things to death before starting a trip. Thanks.

excellent story by Sftck, detailing how to go find a cute girl, while having had a good night's sleep. He posted it in the Jakarta forum, instead of Bali.

Sftck, if you want delete the post in jkt, and post it here, you should be able to click the edit button at the bottom of your post, you then have the option to delete your post, and repost it here. I can then delete this entire post, as it would be redundent.
I must say I have often seen girls walking the beach from 66, wearing their sexy little outfits, and holding their shoes, as they splash about in the water. I offered one a ride up the street on my motorbike the other morning. she asked me if I would like her to come home with me. I replied my GF was still sleeping, and would not take kindly to that. I did however get her number, in case the GF decides to pulang kampung for a couple of days.
Gotta be prepared, right.......

Sorry to hear your bad experiences.... I have visited Sanur for almost 10 years and mostly more than once a year. I have had only very good experiences of extremely nice girls. Really GFE and mostly without condom. Maybe you are too old for the girls? It needs two for a tango...

Posts: 34Hari Nyepi (and preparations for Hari Nyepi) 5-8 March 2008
Preparations for Nyepi
On 5 March (2008), the Balinese celebrate Melasti, Mekiyis or Melis, a Hindu ceremony held 3 days before Nyepi. It is meant to cleanse nature, especially the ocean and other water bodies. Divine effigies are taken out of the temples and long processions carry them to the water for bathing.
7 March (2008) is Tawur Agung Kesanga, also in preparation for Nyepi. There are purification ceremonies in all the houses and procession accompanied by gemelan music. At the main crossroad of every village, evil spirits are exorcised by setting fire to large dolls of monsters and demons, called Ogoh-Ogohs. This is also called the Balinese Carnival.
Hari Nyepi: Bali's Day of Silence
On 8 March (2008) it is finally Hari Nyepi. Daily routines and work are dropped, and Nyepi is a public holiday. Leisure activities, even sex (good grief), are not permitted. Neither is traffic – cars or pedestrians - and people stay in their homes. During this period, the Hindu majority, who practice Yoga Semedi, observe the Catur Berata Penyepian, meditation and introspection. Lights are turned down.
Most conspicuously, silence reigns over the streets and homes. Unlike Westerners, the Balinese open their New Year in silence. For that reason, New Year's Day is called the Day of Silence. This silence is taken very seriously: the streets are patrolled by pecalangs, traditional policemen dressed in black and wearing a ceremonial hat (an "udeng" or "destar").
Visitor are advised to respect this day. It is best to stay inside your hotel. The beaches, where many of the ceremonies take place, are closed off anyway. Also, don’t expect to fly or boat into the island: on Nyepi all points of entry, the seaports and even the airport are closed.
On 9 March 2008, the day after Nyepi, the Balinese celebrate Ngembak Geni, the end of the rigorous rules of the day before. On this day they visit one another, extend forgiveness to their enemies, and read ancient Hindu scripts.

Went for 2 different massages at the Kuta Bugar Jaya on Sunset Road. There are a few new girls working and one was an excellant GFE type massage. Just had a baby and is still squirting milk. That is for a more detailed story. PM me for the girls number.
For some reason I prefer this MP over the other 2 near the monument. Seems less commercial and a little more friendly. That could change at any time.
I also have made a few tours to the Kuta bars and as was posted earlier, there are many new, hungry, lovely ladies strolling around.
Enjoy Bali!

Dear Prof,
Unfortunately the whole bra technology is not just an Indonesian blight and all around the world women are getting away with false advertising.
Still let that not get in the way of my persuit of pointless pussy, and next time I will think a little clearer.
Thanks for your great reports.
