Go to Batam seeking the nightlife of BKK, gogo bars, etc, and you'll be disappointed. You will feel lost. No such nightlife. Simple as that.

I don't know what's your issue here, I've never claimed I needed any "nightlife". I commented the price / value ratio on some pussy you allegedly picked up in a disco, that's it (so I assume there's at least one disco there, albeit not entertaining or nightlifeish).

But I'm not really a party guy. I've lived many years in Asia, so I will not feel lost, but thanks for your concern.

I have checked JonTrons Batam clips and he is somewhat dissapointed it seems, but then again he's not a big fan of Indonesia these days, I guess.
Post-Corona, I will visit Batam and make my own opinion. I usually get laid, it's no rocket science, when Ben's your travel mate.

This pretty much qualifies how well you have read my earlier reports here (not only my reports: also the reports of many others here).

I LOVE Batam. I have been going to Batam 3-4 times a year since 2010 (date of my first report in ISG Batam Thread). I learned my survival Bahasa in Batam. Batam has nothing to do with Thailand. No such nightlife, no such bars, no such girls. This is Indonesia, and is not Jakarta. Go to Batam seeking the nightlife of BKK, gogo bars, etc, and you'll be disappointed. You will feel lost. No such nightlife. Simple as that.

P.S.: Now Batam is dead, economy is falling, borders are closed from Singapore, my friends are desperate.

That's a great deal andpretty much in line with (or bit less) than what I pay in AC or Pattaya discos.

Go to a spa (search and you will find a few ones, for example Octapus at Pacific). You will be presented a line up of girls from average to stunny. Warning: service there is standard, and without a tip you might not get BBBJ, but all covered. As in Geylang, SOP and just SOP. No surprises.

If you have time or want to play roulette, go to a lower-end massage place behind Utama. You cannot choose, but a random girl will appear for massage and then it's all up to your bargaining ability. No ability leads to big money for just a HJ. Expert ones may get FS for 500 k, and from a SYT.

Batam is a shit hole. Expensive and poor quality poor service. Your best bet is Geylang. No travel cost, no customs hassle, less expensive, better quality.

Nowadays it is probably Square for high-level, and Newton or P3 for wild hunting. Warning: do not go to disco if you are not used to that. You might get in danger, or at least back here even more convinced than the guy above that Batam is a shit-hole.

Last time I was in Batam was early May. I did not write long reports, but the situation was more or less the same as I reported the previous last times. Make a search for posts by "Black Page" and keywords "No Name", "NoName", "Square" (OR, not AND).

No Name is closed, after a couple of years of slow starving. It was emptier and emptier, nothing like the heaven of the glorious days.

Square is the best place now, but it is at Penuin. See my reports.

Other places at NED are more or less the same as before: it's good if you want to stay with girls who speak English, drink beers, play pool maybe. Girls are mostly old veterans, and they are not all necessarily available for the night. However, YMMV. Best place is maybe FourPlay, but I would suggest to go around, enter in many bars, drink beers (they are cheap), before settling in one place.

As you understand, NED is not my favourite place in Batam for the night.
