We haven't gotten to the point of figuring out which cities on each island. We're just trying to figure out the logistics of traveling from Batam to Karimun and / or Bintan islands if we wanted to without having to transit back to Singapore.

If it's possible, then we'll have to determine where and when the ferries leave each island.

There are ferries schedule at Sekupang (Batam) to / fm Karimun daily.

No doubt to agree with you about that.

However, the feeling I have in Batam is that I am overwhelmed by the number of girls who are available to have sex with: from massage joints and karaoke (I never tried to count) , from discos, from various bars, and let's also add the massage in hotels, and the girls I meet in the mall, and finally let me also add the girls I meet in bars, discos and mall, who are so keen to stay with me FOR FREE (ok, a dinner and maybe a gift from the mall, but unrequested).

I felt stressed in Batam, because in 3, 4 or even 5 days the number I can bear is limited. I will not go to Jakarta. I do care about my mind health.

I miss Batam so much! I am on the other side of the world now and it's HARD (life).

PS: I never heard about girls quoted above 1M in Nagoya. If anybody starts paying so out-of-the-market, the place will be spoiled soon.

Never paid more than 800k to a freelancer, paid 1m at the massage places on few occasions (for the top of the line girls) , but this price was decided by the establishments and was non-negotiable. Only once did I pay the 1. 2 mln at 82, as this girl was super hot with excellent service. Saw her first time when she had her period, after that she was gone for 10 days before I got her again, she was that much in demand. She stayed with me for 3 days and was using the latest I-phone and laptop (gifted to her by Singaporean Chinese clients) , this girl was also ordering food everyday from KFC, she was the real classy type, I'm sure she's not the same and her rate must have gone down by now as sadly these girls deteriorate fast (although she said she was quitting this profession when her contract ended in June). If she's smart, she will easily be able to find somebody to support her.

I am in Thailand now (thought I'd visit here for a change due to Ramadan, mistake really, prefer Indo and Indo girls, things are too much in your face here, I speak average Bahasa, which helps). I am planning a long trip to Indonesia in January, planning to do the Jakarta after dark tour and get useful tips from the Indonesia experts. I'm of Indian origin, so it gets difficult to score (with non-pro's) , as they have this thing for white guys, but what I look out for is the young semi-pro / student / salesgirl who needs the pocket money / college money.

Otherwise I totally agree, we should not pay more than 1mln and spoil the market, when I mongered Indo only 3 years ago, USD was 12000 rp, now it's steady at 8500 rp, so things have already become 30 percent more expensive, due to currency alone.

The Batam forum is dead, is there not anything going on after Ramadan? Planned to visit but got leave only during Ramadan, didn't want to get into any trouble with the authorities and didn't want girl selection to be limited, so decided to go to Pattaya this time around.

Meanwhile since nobody is posting, I will share old experience of Batam which may be little relevant since one was around 4 mths ago, one 7 mths ago. I was not a member of this forum then.

Discotheques :

I found Planet and Newton were the best for picking up freelancers, apart from these, only tried Pacific, but found too many old, hardened ladies. In case of Planet, the security guy can find a girl for you as he knows who's available (for a small fee ofcourse).

Hotels:

I stayed at 4 hotels in all, Novotel, Panorama Regency, Goodway, Swiss Belhotel, out of which my favourite was Panorama. The nightclubs at Novotel and Panorama had live bands, tried to pick up the 2 hot waitresses at the Novotel nightclub but they didn't agree to go out. Panorama has a karaoke, quite expensive, good women. Swiss Belhotel has few good women, took one when I was staying there. However, rooms are small, no wi-fi in room and the noise from the karaoke is too loud incase you plan to sleep early. Goodway hotel is little away from the nightlife action (near Nagoya Hill mall). Fairly nice hotel, less tourists and more Indonesians. All the above have a swimming pool and gym.

Massage places:

Best in my opinion were 82 and Indah 2, also picked up from Berry Indah and Permata Indah. A girl called Eno deserves special mention in 82, not sure if she works there still, expensive (1. 2 mln) , but well worth it, had her for 3 nights. Newton massage is not recommended, all the hot girls work in the Karaoke, karaoke girls at Newton are expensive (1. 6 mln).

Others:

Had a friend who worked in Nagoya Hill mall, he knew some salesgirls who were available, did 3 of them, even took one to Bali with me. Was paying him a small fee, plus drinks and cigarettes, however he tried to cheat me once, and I didn't see him again, although he called several times to apologise. Also got friendly on the last day with a lady called Rida, who works at M1 entertainment, near the harbourfont. Did her on the last day (she's divorced with a kid) , she promised to introduce me to her younger colleagues next time, so will call her next time if she's still around. Also visited the bar at I-hotel, some nice ladies, but the guests are mainly high roller Chinese, the music too is Chinese and the girls are extremely expensive (around 2 mln).

Will post anything else useful if I remember, meanwhile somebody please send us a recent report.

I am hoping a few of you might be able to point me in the right direction.

Looking to escape Singapore for a few days, don't want too much hassle, just a nice hotel with a pool to kick back by and a bit of company, are there any options in Bintan or is Batam my best bet. From all the reports Batam sounds like it has the variety but I am looking for something a bit up market and quiet but still with the option of grabbing a bit of company when the urge strikes.

I would appreciate any advice.
