Hi there,
First of all thanks to you all for the info so far. I am planning to go back to Batam shortly after being there 6 years ago.
Please I need your help:
I remember a possy hotel in the center which last floor there was a massage center and a lounge and discobar with ladies to pick up.
It looks like "Harmony Hotel" but not sure. Posible Formosa Hotel but I remember it with more floors. Any help will do especially not to book wrongly.
Many thanks in advance.

I don't think Bules are not a dream thing anymore, I think it's just we are getting older and have lost our luster. There is a 28 year old Bule working in our office. When I walk the mall with him, every girl's head turns like they did for me years ago.

Not all girls are the same, and each girl does not provide the same experience to any customer. If you go booking, visit a few places, and choose the girl which you really like above all others, and who smiles at you and looks very happy to come with you. Nothing worse than having a dead fish in bed for 10 hours. You don't have fun, and your room is occupied.

2) The white man (bule) is not considered a dream thing anymore. 5-10 years ago, if I just walked along streets a bit out of the center of the center, I was getting lots of smiles from ladies and attempts to get a new friend. When I went to a disco bar like NoName, virtually no girl, regardless her beauty or the fact she was accompanied or not, was out of my reach. Now, it's not like that anymore. People is used to see more bule around, and more ladies have a passport and then can go to Singapore to spend their money. It's still dream land for me, but things have become considerably more difficult.
My advice: stay 3 days and keep your expectations low. You will have time to have some good and bad luck, some disappointments and some events to remember. If you go one day, it's like betting all money on the red at a roulette. You can either double your money, or lose it.
Take my reports not as "what you will get" or "what you will do", but as "what it is possible" (probability of success depends on luck and personal ability).
In Batam, you can a) hunt or b) shop girls. If you are a hunter, the pubs will be your place. You might meet a regular lady who likes you, and you will have a fantastic time (leave her a "tip" anyway); or a FL who for a reasonable money will make you much happier than FLs in Singapore (half money for double fun) (please do NOT overpay). If you are a shopper, your place are massage joints where you book a girl till next morning. I don't do that, or not anymore, because I get bored by having this girl in my room from afternoon till next morning.
Do not forget: very few people speaks English. You should speak some Bahasa Indonesia to reach the best opportunities, especially with girls.
Last advice: do not think you can get 100% with one day of experience on place. I took years to understand how it works, what to do, where to go, what to hope, and even to learn to not be disappointed the few nights I go sleeping alone (yes, it still happens to me, but few times).

Hence wanted to check with seniors if they can help with some contacts so that we just get into the action. Will look for in Singapore forum too.

Posts: 28Leads in Batam for MP and Nightlife
Hi,
We are US colleagues in Singapore for a week and would like to explore Batam for the weekend. Planning for MPs during the day and any nightclubs for pickups. Appreciate if someone can guide us on the places and average prices.
Regards.

You can still have your girl, but it will be more difficult: less choice, have to ask people where is the back door (anyone smoking in front of the main door), worst of all find a reliable taxi driver, avoid to overpay him, have him to guide you around.
Being you a first timer, I suggest to postpone.

Just took time reading through your FRs, BP all the way from 2013. Top notch stuff, really interesting and really spikes my interest in Batam, haha. Sadly, as don't think I will be spending a full night there, I would probably have to give all those bars and discos a miss, and stick with the MPs (which you point out are safer options for newbies).
As for the pharmacies in KL, are prescriptions not required in Bukit Bintang? Taking a 4 night trip there at end-June, and of course, I will be sharing my finds there with ISG.

Stay away from locals who know where to go. Plenty of scammers and fake products or dubious "generic".

One more thing: don't RTFF and do your homework and you'll be so disappointed to regret you have wasted those days instead of staying in SIN.
One more thing: Ramadan is approaching. Come on Ramadan and if you don't know what to do you'll be stuck. I suggest to avoid on a first time visit.

Posts: 20Best way to Batam from LAX
I met a girl in Batam on Tinder, we've talked for awhile and I want to go there as part of a trip to Singapore, Thailand, Philippines and VietNam.
I have over a million miles and think Singapore is the best first stop from LAX.
Any pointers or opinions? PM is fine.

Hello guys,
Are there friendly pharmacies (or even street stalls) in Batam where I am able to purchase viagra / cialis w / o prescription? Is it also true that the taxi drivers 'know where to go' if I just show up there, and tell them, I want to buy so and so?
Thinking of paying a short visit to batam (probably to visit the massage parlors / spas there), and would like to pick up some magic pills, should they be available.
Thank you in advance!
I know nothing about the scene in Batam, but should you guys questions about mongering in KL, ask me and I'll help out!

Nobody will want to share any information with you unless you do likewise. It had been a common practice on this board or on many other boards that Newbies help themselves first to whatever information is already on the board, explore on their own, and come back to share their experience thus endorsing themselves as a contributor before any members will help you with any updated information. Many newbies came and left because they do not know the basis of sharing and do not bother about the basic concept of this board. They always thinks that this is a help desk or a Travel agency website, ask and you'll be served. Unfortunately No, that's not how it works here.
First of all, you go get enabled on PM from Jackson, PM any members for some more details information if you like but the member can chose to answer when he feel like it. Go explore and come back with some information which you can share. Finally, don't size up members on the board, you don't know them and they are also not obligated to serve you. Help yourself and help others before anyone will help you. Antagonize anyone on the board and you not only get no answers, you will also be removed.
Enjoy!
AG.

you have posted only TWO items on ISG:
1st) to ask obvious questions which were answered extensively here already
(why should I and others take the time to write reports, which are long as much as thousands of words, if one does not even take the time to read and ask again the same?);
2nd) to attack someone who spent days (not hours) writing here just to help newbies (those who can read, of course, that's the only basic requirement).
Congratulations for this record. You must be the collaborative one who everyone wants to have in his team in the company where you work.
There is no police on ISG, but a sharp distinction between those who contribute and those who just ask (sometimes even demand). There's room for everyone.
However, I answered your simplest questions ("no", "all", "What would be the purpose of this forum, if not?" = "Yes money talks here") and for more complex topics I hinted you to read what we wrote here, where more than a simple sentence is needed to answer.
No, I will not spend one hour of my time to write again what I wrote before, just because someone else thinks his time is more precious than mine. We are not here to spoon feed, but we show where is the restaurant. What reaction would I get, if I post on the BKK forum "Excuse my question, I am new, is there any red light district? where?".
Don't go to Batam before reading something and understand what is possible to get and what not, or you will be disappointed. This is my advice to any new "explorer".
By the way, you wrote something that really makes sense to me: "I have been going to Thailand for the last few years but I fear my cover story is wearing thin at home. And a few people who should just mind their own business have been commenting on my travels. So I thought I would go for a "business trip" to Singapore for a change."
That's EXACTLY the reason why I never travelled to Thailand but I always have business trips to KL and SIN. Yes, my cover story is getting thinner and thinner.
P.S.: I am just back from a full week stay in Batam. I will not post a day-by-day series of stories, because frankly I have better to do and I am busy (and also this time I have fucked an average of less than 1 new girl per day). But I will provide an update on most important changes on the scene. Stay tuned.
