Batam is not a tame place as Angels City. It is not a sex tourism destination with crowds of girls just waiting for one more customer. There are no bars of that kind, there are almost no brothels (except a couple which are not patronized by those who read this forum).

You cannot behave as this guy, enter bars and expect to get easy cheap fucking with any girl. Bar girls are good girls. You can spend the night with them in change of 500k-1M, but ONLY if you treat them nicely first, and get some chemistry. Also in KTVs or massage joints, girls would easily refuse to go with you, if you look rough or not a good man.

If come to Batam thinking to a place like the Bangkok entertainment district, or just Geylang, you will be misplaced. You will not have fun and, what's more important, you will also be a significant source of troubles and discomfort for locals. Locals are too kind to engage confrontations with you, but they will retain a bad memory of you and hope to see you disappear quickly.

Been too many bars of Thai, PI and Cambodia so decided to try out Batam for 3 days. Went sniffing last night and was amazed as how [CodeWord140] poor the scene is. Very difficult to find a bird which was "rootable" as many were scrubbers and not all girls will go with you, they just do the lady drink crap. Most bars have many signs up to say buy girls drinks or you are a tight arse, I had one frugly get sign from behind bar and read it to me. Moral of story stick to the well known scenes, you can't go wrong.

If you exit the Harbour Bay gate, turn right, pass the "ship" (Pacific Hotel) , you get in front of Pasar Induk, where I do not recommend you to go if you look a rich tourist.

Hey, there were once I took a walk all the way from HarbourBay jetty. Not because of saving money. But just to see and witness how far apart hotels, joints. Not far apart really.
