Went to Batam yesterday for a short trip. Reached there at noon, took a taxi from Mega Mall, across from Batam center ferry terminal, the price was 15,000Rp to Center Point Mall. This is the fare locals pay. Went to my favourite girl in Femina, which is located near the CP mall next to “Hallo Batam Hotel”. Yesterday was my first trip to Batam. Took ferry at 1pm from Singapore, reached Batam Center 1 hour later. Changed some cash to Rupiah, booked a room through Kaha travels. Hotel Nagoya Plaza was S$49, Famosa was S$55 and Goodway S$56. Booked taxi from counter, R40,000.

Checked into the hotel, went out to check Queens ktv first. About 30 girls, various size and shape. About 5 of them are doable. Went to Dynasty, about 20 girls, mianly mature and fat ones. Loud music on tv, had to leave the place after 2 minutes. Went to Alishan, but not open yet, opening time in weekdays are 7:30pm. Had lunch and went for good massage, R50,000/hour, could have got it cheaper but did not negotiate. After I came out of massage, noted this ktv nextdoor named Femina. Went in. This Tuesday morning (June 27), I decided to go to Balai. Bought a roundtrip ferry ticket from harbor front ferry terminal of Singapore, cost S$43. Ferry left at 11:20, reached Balai after 95 minutes. After immigration, came out of the terminal. Saw a lot of moto sharks waiting at the right exit, so took a left turn and came out of the ferry terminal. Took a moto to hotel Maximillian for R10,000. It is a 5 minute ride, if you haggle can get the ride for R5000, but who cares for S$1 difference. If want, can walk to the hotel too, should not take more than 10 minutes. Only problem with that is people will stare at you. They can tell you are an outsider, so an interesting object to watch.

Rate of the hotel, studio S$28, double rooms$38, and suite S$48 for weekdays, breakfast included. They probably charge slightly more for the weekend. Don’t take room on 6th floor, difficult to sleep as music from the pub on 7th floor will bug you.
I took a studio. Then took hotel taxi to Villa (pronounced as Pilla) to get girl. Asked the receptionist, how much to pay for hotel taxi, she said ‘up to you’. When asked for a ball park figure, she said, ‘R10,000 or R20,000’. Anyway, got an aircon SUV to Villa. Quite a few bungalows with girls. Checked all the houses, girls of all shape, size and age is available. Saw a girl who caught my eye, about 5ft, C cup, very nice figure and very good looking. 20 years old. Took a shower, started with all the usual stuff, very good BBBJ. She turned off TV to concentrate on me. I was sooo impressed. Very dedicated to work. In evening, went out for seafood dinner. For those who are looking for a cheap place with good Chinese seafood and lots of girls, Tj Balai is a good bet.

its not that it is cheap, this is where the apek and abeng are more than welcome by the ceweks. they love the apeks because they dont spent much

After two days in enjoying the eye candy in Bangkok's shopping centers, I thought that maybe Batam would be rather "tame".

For an old fart like me, I just love those friendly Thai women. Even some of the youngest and prettiest Thai woman are approachable and some times the odd one will even "come to room" if you smile nicely enough (and make them laugh a little).

But Bangkok's bargirls are a hardened lot and I got much better mileage from the bunch in PP Banana.

Some of the guys from Singapore said that the Banana girls are snobbish towards Asian guys, but I never seem to have any problems.

The ones in Bangkok expect me to speak Thai (which I can't). Though Indonesian girls seem to be more adpet at spotting that I am not a local.

You dont need to speak either Thai or Indonesian to score with the local ladies - just be nice and not too stingy.

Where is the best place in Batam for shopping Centre "hunting"? Always make it a point to use the up-escalator at Centrepoint and Robinsons. Watch for eye contact with girls having coffee as you reach the next floor.

Stop and order a drink if you meet any interesting lookers.

McDonalds at Centrepoint is also a good spot. If you happen to see some girls sitting there and there is an empty table next to them, you can sit and make a conversation (and pass quietly your hotel card / cell number without a lot of local men staring at you.)

This trip, I met a very nice 25yr old who worked in a Wartel. "Gagi kecil" she said, which I found means "small salary".

BTW, although the Hotel Goodway from Kaha Travel was good value at only Rp220,000, but our old friend Emmeet is no longer managing the place so next time I think I shall go back to using the Panorama again. At least it has good wireless internet.

Just back to reality (i.e. work) after a couple of week's rest and relaxation in Bangkok and Batam.

After a month in darkest driest Africa, nothing like stepping off the plane in Sunny (and rainy) Bangkok, where even the airport staff have a friendly smile. The city had shut down to celbrate the King's 60th anniversary AND World Cup soccer.

After a couple of enjoyable days boozing in Soi Nana, on a plane and down to BATAM via the grim faces at Singapore Changi airport.

Got through that as fast as possible then on a boat to BATAM CENTER - got the HOTEL GOODWAY for a good prices from the KAHA HOTEL BOOKING counter at the ferry terminal - only Rp220,000/night.

A couple of welcome beers with Kenneth at the Goodway Wine bar and a great steak dinner at the adjoining GOODWAY GRILL, then over to the bars in the NED - Nagoya Entertainment Disctrict for a few beers and to find any old friends.

No old friends, but quickly made plenty of new ones .. including a beauty upstairs at PP Banana, where you can find some of the nicest and most polite girls in any bar in Asia (if yuou are nice to them).

Met a girl at Bananas, new since myh last visit - Lena, who I stayed with for nearly a week. I must be getting old.

Also new was the SMILING HILLS club, about 10 minutes out of town - great food, good rooms and friendly helpful guys staying there.

the one u are going is in the PENQUIN AREA near a supermarket call

5 kilometers away the taxi ride should not be more than 50,000,rupiah

i stay at novotel a couple of times no problem with bringing gals.
but it is more of a family hotel.

i suggest u stay at garden hotel it is only singapore dollars fifty only
about us$ 30. its a 3 star hotel with all the facilities. novotel will cost
u about US$60.00
