Went to Jakarta for the weekend and this was my experience at Golden Crown.

Arrived, payed the 35k cover charge and proceeded inside to the main disco where the music was techno / doof doof or whatever they call it these days. The hookers mainly hang out close to the entrance, and also against the walls mainly on the left hand side. All the tables were full, only saw 1 bule there inside, rest were locals. Bought 2 beers and talked to a hooker who immediately started the requests for ecstasy. A lot of partygoers in indonesia partake in E, characterised by their swaying heads side to side, and backwards and forwards in an exagerated manner. Bought the girl a beer and packet of ciggies. Waiter brought the drinks and a glass of ice. As the waiter brought the drink, I didn't notice anything amiss. Can't remember if the can was opened when it arrived. She typed in 300k on her phone and showed it to me. I said I was only their to drink. Anyway, scoped out the place for another hour. Thats a long time so if my drink was spiked I dunno if the effects take that long to take effect. I got a bit bored and decided to walk into the lobby and close to the stairs a foreigner approached me and said he was glad to see another foreigner to talk to.

He said he was from Dubai on holiday, and was planning to go to Bangkok the next day. He was of arab descent, well built (obviously a gym buff). Said he ran his own business in Dubai. Nothing to be suspicious of at that point. He asked me where I was staying. I told him the name of the hotel. Hotel Peninsula, jalan manga bassar (next door to Oasis spa)

Went upstairs with him. This was another large floor with a podium with girls dancing (clothed). He insisted on buying me a beer, and when I said no, its ok I will pay, he said 'I invited you so I want to buy you a beer'. Can't remember if the beer was opened when it arrived, or if he gave it to me. Approached a few more girls, they werent that interested to talk but anyway we had conversations, so wasnt really that bothered. At this point around 20 mins had passed. We then went back down again and started dancing on the floor, I had just finished the beer and offered to buy him a drink. Went to find a waiter (as thats the only way you can buy a drink).

While I was standing against the wall waiting for a waiter. THAT WAS THE LAST I REMEMBERED. This was approximately 30 mins after he bought me the drink. It must have been around 2-30am.

I don't remember feeling quesy, or dizzy or being hit on the head, or anything. JUST NOTHING AFTER THAT POINT.

Next thing I remember is waking up around 9 in the morning in my hotel room.

From my pocket my wallet was missing with 1. 5m taken out. 600k was left an my smart phone was stolen.

I had left my oakleys on the desk in the room (but my ATM card I'm sure I locked in the safe). Both of these were stolen as well.

I had 2. 5hrs till my flight so I thought fuck it, need to get to the airport. So I asked the person at the desk if they noticed me come in. The girl said yes, you came in with a foreigner we thought it was your friend. I asked to see their CCTV but they said the manager was not in so not possible at the time. I thought fuck it, I need to catch my flight so I gave up and left.

Anyway, that was my jakarta experience.

Side note. Hotel Travel had some nice looking girls at 300k a pop. Seemed like a factory though so I didn't partake as I had a massage and HJ at Oasis by a pretty young girl. Great body but no english and was more interested in watching cartoons on the TV in the room. Hmm.

I find it difficult to believe that he actually visited (and experienced) all the locations he posts about. Is there anybody else who shares this feeling or am I alone in this?

In a perfect world, people like this would have actually friends, and hence would not feel compelled to clutter up forums with their opinions and non-information. But, it's a big tent here, so what can you do.

If you go to Block M before 11pm you might not see anyone this place don't get going until after Midnight, most girl at Red Square are not pro just girl out have a good time and freebie are possible, you are right Jarkata have alot to offer to everyone at noon, night and after midnight.

Is there anybody else who shares this feeling or am I alone in this?

He is not obnoxious like the recently removed D Cups, but in my view he is beginning to suffer from a lack of credibility. Anybody seen a picture or a field report by him?

It's 270k, not 300k. Still best deal in town, I think.

It's 400k for two. If the rooms were bigger, would get the rate quote for three. But, the volume on these girls is heavy. Good deal or not, you're likely to be rubbing off someone else's perspiration.

Just a bit of advice, Try to go around 3 PM just before rush hour or 6 PM (with Taxi) as there are 3 person minimum car rule imposed at 16:30. 19:00 and taxis can use those lanes which helped traffic considerably. Try as bad as you can to use Blue Bird and tell the driver to use any means necessary to avoid traffic. .

However the traffic after 8 PM is not as bad as described.

Would recommend Alila for the excellent rooms, or try Alexis. The room is nice, they have a nice club at ground level (a few Caucasians tho, not as much as Red Square, however this is one of the few place in town that has Striptease now ever since the tough crackdowns on stripteases performance in any place.) The 3rd Floor is Karaoke. And The 5th floor is some sort of Massage / Red-rope-shangai-esque service place. And the 7th floor is the infamous Bathouse which is the classiest bordello in town. The access to Kota from Alexis is also easy, but its far from Sudirman / or Senayan area. Even further away to Blok M.

M-Star is a not-quite-so-new one-stop entertainment place. 300k or 550k a pop, with free facilities and they even have a massage place which I never use, and REALLY near Alexis. Think of it like Classic Terminal with fewer choice and crowd.

I was quite frequent to Jakarta till 2010 & a regular visitor to Stadium. Music used to be great & also occasionally you cud find amazing chicks who can they go with you for 300000 rupiah for an hour. Am in Jakarta after 15 months next week. Was wondering if stadium is still the same or any alternative suggestions.

I think it depends on what you are looking for. If you are looking for a bordello where you pay for sex by the hour and don't establish much of a conversation or relationship with the girl, Kota is great. The girls are young and prices are cheap. But if you are looking to chat a girl up (in English) and have a few drinks with her and a bit of a laugh then take her home for the night, Kota is not good for that.

Blok M and Red Square are much more likely places to find the latter mentioned. I will say though that the last time I visited Blok M, I didn't see even a single stunner. But I left by 11:30pm that night so things weren't hopping yet. The last time I went to Red Square, the only hot girls were the sexy dancers that were paid to entertain the people there. But I have seen stunners there in the past. I think the best looking girls can be found at X2 and Dragon Fly. But they aren't as easy to pick up in those places.

The great thing about Jakarta is that it has something for everyone's tastes.

The Jakarta Globe states it is the Golden Hands hotel. I looked at the hotel website and figured out that it's a bordello desiring to replicate Alexis or Sun City I guess. Looks like it's a new entry in the business. Obviously they haven't paid up where they ought to. JAD should be able to enlighten further, the true inside story.

I was in Jakarta around New Years, and I never got around to posting my review, so I figured I'd do that now.

I was in town for Five Nights, and I tried to make the most of it, really.

First night, I arrived late, so nothing really happened. I grabbed some food from my hotel's room service and then crashed out for the next day.

Second day, I met up with a girl from a dating website, and we went and had some lunch, caught a film, and had a coffee. It was an alright way to spend the day, but she had to go meet up with her family so nothing happened from that before. She was a wealthy girl, and paid for everything, so there is that.

Second night, I headed down to Sportsman's to watch the Liverpool match, and it was fairly quiet in there. There was a few cute bartenders, and I was flirting heavily with one them, I think her name was Nisa. She was pretty hot, and 22, and had a good little body. She seemed a lovely girl, and we chatted a bit, and I agreed to come meet her outside Sportsman's after her shift. Whilst talking to them, I saw a cute little spinner that I called over, she was young, naive, and seemed really, really new to the game. I think she was around 20ish or 21ish. Her english was really poor, so some girl did the translating for me, and as we were heading off that girl asked me for money for setting it up. I told her what I thought of that idea and made my way to the taxi. We headed back to the hotel, and once again, I went uncovered with this one too (why do I keep doing this?). The sex was pretty poor. She was very obviously new to everything, and her attempts at a blowjob reminded me of an uptight girl that I had dated in High School and finally got her to agree to 'kiss it'. I was totally blown away by the inexperience. So, anyway, I finished up in missionary, and took a shower to wash the smoke off. Day Four, I meet up with the rich girl again for lunch, and we go somewhere close, because she's made it clear that she wants to fuck today. Fourth Night, Rich girl came back for an encore, after dinner with her family, but she had to head home so we only had a quicky. I was pretty alright with that, and crashed out for the night.

Day five. Breakfast and then to the airport. Nothing to report there.

SO many choices! I would recommend Alila (Jl Pecenongan Kav 7-17) which is close to Classic Hotel and Malioboro. Also (yes) The Sultan. It's not too far from anything and in-house is possible and acceptable. (PM me for details!) Le Meridien or Shangri La are also on the list. Traffic is going to be hit-or-miss in any case. If you can move, try one of the Blok M hotels when you want to monger there (Ambara is within walking distance) and then move. I hope this helps and we look forward to your reports. TTG

To behonest, both these places suck. You may find the odd spinner during a Saturday night at Blok M but it's mostly packed with hardnened hookers these days. Red Square although I have picked up from there is a shadow of its former self. Both places are quite empty during weekdays. The real good places are up in Kota.
