Good luck. Ggekko's post is probably more accurate though. Each year varies a bit, but given the current climate, I think expecting things to be shut down Monday thru Thursday is a realistic expectation.

Day2: I reached out via WhatsApp to a freelancer from CJ that I knew from my last trip to escort me that evening. Turned out that she was back in her kampung at Cirebon, a good four hours drive from Jakarta. She referred a few of her friends instead.

I WhatsApped two of them from the list based on the photos. The first one was not available and the second one already had a previous engagement with her regular, but was willing to do a short time with me until 9 PM. I told her that I needed a longer engagement and she being the opportunistic type in turn referred a few of her friends to me. We started off with Bahasa but then slowly ventured off into English. I was surprised that her written English was pretty good considering everything. Turned out that she had a bule boyfriend who is supporting her.

She sent me different photos of her friends and set the expectation of a referral fee. We settled on a price and finders fee for her. I was interested in one of the girls in her list, but turned out that girl also happened to be unavailable that day, while the ones that were available I was not interested. My friend dropped me off at CJ and told he would wait for me in the parking lot and drive me back to my hotel once I hooked up with a girl there. By the way, during our drive there, that earlier KTV girl finally texted me and was willing to reduce her price to 2. 5 million, but however would need to be paid upfront first. This goes against my rule and I told her not to waste my time anymore.

CJ was still crowded and packed with many beautiful girls that Friday night even at 2 AM. Good thing it closes at 4 AM on Fridays. Reached CGK around midnight on Wednesday, technically Thursday morning by then, and did not even bother to attempt to visit CJ even though it was the ladies night. I was simply too tired for anything else.

Caught up with a few hours of sleep and later that day decided to see how this whole Tinder works. Fair to say, I am a newbie on this one. I learned later that I have to swipe profiles that I like and wait back for the girl to respond in kind before we can chat via the app. At least that is the way how I think it would work for free account. Anyway, most of the girls that I discovered are not really what I expect. There were photos of girls in hijab and it would be hilarious if they are up to what I hope to achieve. I did not get many response, but there was one time when I received immediate feedback, and she got straight to business by saying BO. I guess that's the keyword for P4 P. Unfortunately, a few things immediately raised my suspicion. First red flag, she mentioned that she can use WhatsApp, but mentioned that her phone camera is kaput. Second red flag, she told me that I don't have to pay her anything, only that I need to pay for the hotel room through an online travel agency which she would book on my behalf. I just said this is not how I play and that's the end of it.

Later that night, oscillating between Malioboro, Illegals or 1001, I ended up at 1001 spa. My last trip was in October and back then it was disappointing, as I broke my own rule of selecting a Vietnamese import and my interaction with her was lackluster.

After going though the front entrance, the receptionist would walk me to the lift and the third floor personally. Next the security guard on the third floor asked for my handphone, and placed these two oversized stickers to cover the front and back of the camera, and the receptionist further mentioned that there is a cover charge of 200 K. Okay, this is definitely something new. As I get seated on one of the high table, a mamasan walked up to me and asked for my preference. I mentioned I am not interested in imports and looking for someone local who can provide GFE. After further interactions, I concluded that she had no idea and told her that I am just going to sit and observe before making a decision. I don't really like the idea of the girls being herded and paraded in front of me. Instead, I prefer to observe from a reasonable distance and gauge which girls would likely provide me with the best service and interaction based on their facial expression and body language. Many of the girls there were young with almost all of them in their twenties.

The girls cannot leave the dorm while working there except during their off days. Their workday is a 12-hour shift and they have a daily target of hitting four vouchers. A voucher is an hour session and cost 1. 1 million each. I would ask how often does she meet her target, and she mentioned hardly ever. In fact, that day I was her first client and it was already nighttime. The spa girls would earn only a third of the voucher value which is something like 370 K and will only be disbursed to the after the month is over. No wonder these girls have to depend heavily on tips provided by their clients.
