A quick search on Google confirms that it's no longer in business. I used to to date the karaoke girls who worked there, picking them up after their shifts finished around 11:00 pm and took them to Disco or night clubs. In addition there are 2-3 smaller karaoke places but I didn't try them as my singing skills would outshine and humiliate the other customers I saw only two foreigners the whole evening I was there, the rest are (mostly drunk) locals. I did one hour each with three girls from three different bars. The girls had an English vocabulary of about 15 words. Have to say that Jakarta is my new fav destination after spending one night there for the first time. I live in Australia and was on my way back from Bangkok. Once a taxi driver dropped me on this area by mistake, as I was heading to Blok M. There are indeed many interesting bars and KTV places and I recall many friendly ladies. Well of course, there is no easy answer to this. Actually, on the one hand the answer is quite simple. The percentage of "bad behaving" Indians must go down while the percentage of "properly behaving" Indians must go up. This is the only way to change the situation. But then on the other hand, this is something that would be rather hard to achieve in reality wouldn't it? At least in the short term.
