Went to Malio. Both parts of the complex are open and operate as usual. However, there are fewer girls and fewer customers. One can cross between the two parts via the corridors on the third floor, as previously.

One has to download an app. Etc, etc. I was stuck three hours at the airport going through their extremely strangely organized system. Then taken by a dedicated driver to my pre-booked quarantine hotel. I reached the hotel at about 9 pm and was released again at 1130 am next morning. I would have needed that time to sleep off the flight anyway. So the quarantine is not a problem now, however the visa is a pain in the neck.

Today I went to Classic Hotel. Only the second floor is open. I got there at 10 pm and it was too late. There was a huge crowd, guys outnumbered women, dense smoke and a loud local rock band. I ended up getting cajoled into taking two chubby girls (which I generally I am not a big fan of). Ok service but nothing great. I guess I am out of practice when it comes to selection and negotiations. And I was too impatient. On the other hand, three different women hit on me as I was leaving after closing. In the many times I have been to Classic, I have never been able to pick up a girl on the outside after closure when they all flood out to go home. I look forward to further exploration.

I was in Jakarta during the Covid and was just too damn busy to report about it. Generally speaking, most of the the punting locations that survived the pandemic were open. I spent most of my time at KI and be-Fashion where the massage area is covertly open again. Tinder was a a failure for me, and that's where I'll spend this post talking about punting fails.

Thanks Goferring. I'm still a touch confused though. I thought Ramandan was the 30 days of fasting, and Idul Fitri was the end of the fasting period, thus the 31st day. What I saw was people fasting for 30 days, then disappear for 10 days at their village. Which two weeks are you referring to that the girls are hard up for cash to bring back to desa? I completely agree with you and believe that circumstance exists. But I'm just terrible at understanding when the best hunting time is!

Ramadan starts April 2 and ends May 2 this year. Idul Fitri is from May 2 to May 3. Celebrating at hometown village would typically run from May 2 to May 12 depending on how generous your boss is or how long the office will be closed.

BTW, if anyone's curious, Idul Fitri is the bahasa way of saying Eid al-Fitr which is the arabian way of saying the same thing.

Whether that's your interpretation from Cucumber or not, it's rather irrelevant. The rule itself, which is more important, is that for VOA to kick in, you must arrive into Bali, Bintan, or Batam from one of the 23 approved countries, and follow the testing and quarantine procedures listed.

Arriving straight into Jakarta, you'll still need to pre-apply for a B211 A visa, do the tests and one day quarantine.

The Indo government is just so out of touch on how to simplify their own laws, I've given up being frustrated about it. There are a couple of questions that are still pertinent, asides from the elephant in the room "Why the hell are the testing and quarantine requirements so confusing and unnecessary?

So here are my questions:

This time, I explore to the sawah besar area and visit this place called zaigon. The place is not as big as classic or malioboro but its pretty nice. The inside is practically like a lounge but in smaller scales. The ladies is not there so the GRO usually show the pictures through tablet. No, you can fly only on Bali for VoA. There is a pcr test on arrival, then a pcr on day 3.
