Since when do the security guards know anything about prices?

My guess is that you paying 100 k more for the HJ is absolutely appropriate. The HJ is included in the hot stone massage at Delta if you want it to be included, but that massage is 900 k or 1 million for the "HJ inclusive" massage. I never even get the HJ when I do get that hot stone massage even though it's free. I have no interest in getting a hand job, I can do that myself at any time.

Just wondering if your info on Golden Crown (location Glodok Plaza?) is current. A couple of recent (May / June 2018) posts on Jakarta100 bars indicates that GC has been mostly shut down, with only a karaoke part remaining open. Unfortunately I am no longer on the ground in Jakarta be able to investigate in person. If so, any alternative suggestions would be appreciated for possible use in a future visit. Thank you.

First time in Jakarta, have read forums. 2 or 3 questions to all you legends here. Only there for a day over the coming weekend.

I spoke to a few of the security guards at the front door if the price of the massage included a happy ending and they confirmed it did so I went into the reception and attempted to book a massage for Rp350 K (90 minutes) The receptionist told me if I wanted "all in" the price was Rp800 K and it would be with a different lady but that did not include massage, it was just sex. I really wanted the massage so I took the massage with he included as told by the security guys.

I told her that the he was included as several guys had told me prior to booking the massage. She said it was extra and said she would accept Rp100 K for the he. I had no where to go so I took the offer of Rp100 K. She was just plain looking so I didn't care about the top coming off.

After she finished I showered then walked through the lounge (it was closed at 11:00 PM) and returned to the change room and asked the guy in there if the he was normally included. He smiled but didn't confirm or deny.

When I went to pay at the end the receptionist said I have to include a cash payment tip for the therapist of Rp100 K (for the he) I said I shouldn't have to pay for that as the guys out the front said it was included but once again I got a stupid look. The guys out the front had disappeared at this time.

I felt I was stooged a little but I'm not complaining about the money. I would have normally tipped the therapist anyway.

When you need to know information in Indonesia and particularly with brothel security guards. You ask the same question to 10 or more people and then average the answers. It is important also when asking a question not to provide any leads to the answer or they will just say yes to whatever option you gave them. Example - "They have condoms for my extra large schlong in there don't they?" Yes! Will be the answer.

But if you ask "do they have extra large condoms for my giant schlong" they will recieve it as a question, think about it and respond with a yes or no. Then you may repeat the question to the next 10 people and you should get a good result.

I agree that the scale and hands on involvement are totally different but the process is the same. I see no change between paying $100 to be promoted from opening gates and paying a million to be "policing" a major illegal timber or coal region.

My comment was more about the cost and income from senior positions than a direct comment on those doing the 100 k shakedowns.

I think it's not even possible for non corrupt man to be a cop in Indonesia. They have to pay pretty big bribes just to get the position in the first place. They have to get that money back somehow.

I equate it to motor racing. You can get in with skill or by bringing along a big sponsor but very few progress without having a combination of both.

I've seen good cops moved out of the way for restricting a revenue stream and I've seen earners moved when a job actually had to be done.
