I am typically in Jakarta every couple of months, though tbh I'm quite glad my October trip has been canceled (for entirely unrelated reasons).

I'm a decades long exResident but have arrived back in Jakarta after a long absence and have been struck by some of the changes: peak hour and mid day traffic is no where near as bad as I remember it; air pollution has deteriorated to the point the city wasn't even visible from the airplane during landing; the mongerring scene has changed drastically with the arrival of online and web apps and the closure of many of the old bricks and mortar favourites; but the girls are still plentiful and beautiful. In many ways the tune has changed but the song remains the same. 😁.

I'm a pretty prolific user of online apps etc elsewhere so I set up a couple of local profiles and waited for a response. And I waited. And I waited. Response times were much slower than what I'm familiar with elsewhere but I do have to say that the quality of the girls is much higher than other countries' hook up apps. Many, many model quality girls were online and responding. If you like the Asian priorites of tall, China white skin, long black hair then Jakarta is the place for you. Meetups were restricted by mongers' worst nightmares: jobs and morals. Many of the better girls clearly led civilian lives and were not going to jump into bed with 5 minutes notice. I was also limited by the requirement of many of the girls to have verified pictures. For various reasons, I'm not prepared to have my true photos displayed publically on hook up apps so that did limit access to a lot of girls.

The first girl I met online was tall, slim and the typical long black hair. In all honesty she was probably 5 or 10 lbs heavier than her photos but that came as no surprise. Unwilling to come straight to the room, we met at the lobby, had a cheap dinner and then she was happy to come upstairs. A very nice body with solid CC cups but very inexperienced. Relaxed but beginners BBBJ and BBFS COTs was rewarded with 1 jt taxi money.

That night saw a trip to Blok M and My Bar. What a depressing sight. The place of so many wild nights and fond memories is now a deserted lane with barely a couple of cars parked out front. Gone are the hustle and bustle of street urchins, hundreds of girls outside eating at the cholera carts and numerous bars beconing you in for a night of fun and debauchery.

At 3 am, My bar had the pretty dancers up on stage doing a good job of shaking their asses. The crowd was light but polarised: a combination of 30+ yo's with a sprinkling of Pretty Young Things. I'd agree with previous posters: over the night I probably saw 5 lookers that were eminently doable amongst the many that were well past their prime. I did laugh when I first entered and the hardened sharks pounced on the new face in town only to be met by a Bahasa speaking old hand who wasn't about to buy rounds of drinks and fall in love with the first brown body to slide next to him. Missing out on an easy mark, they looked so disappointed when I told them that I had been in country longer than them!! Mindful of keeping up appearances I left alone at about 4:30.

I'm staying at the FX Sudirman apartments. For a traveler its great: near many eating and shopping options; lots of transport options; in apartment washer. For mongering it's not so great: a major walk of shame via the mall or busy reception; a maze to get in and out of after FX closes and access gates are locked; close to Blok M and CJs but miles from Kota et al.

I'd go back! Probably, actually hmmmm. I'm not easily scared off and have had sex in some really really seedy and dodgy places, but this place was probably the most extreme I've seen, hence I didn't partake even though there were some good looking women.

The information is certainly there on the forum in this thread, but it can easily get buried under the meaningless discussions.

You have the right plan in terms of catching up on sleep. Most of the brothels become operational by 3 pm, but don't really get going until 5 pm or later. Places like Classic, Travel and all the Kota Indah bars are to be avoided after 9 pm, unless you are OK with a cloud of cigarette smoke over your head, Plus these places get extremely crowded with local bakso sellers and ojek drivers all lining up to get a piece of cheap pussy. The girls are also overused by then.

On the other hand places in Kelapa Gading like King Cross or Sumo and Malio and other places like 1001, Emporivm, etc are best after 8 pm. Sumo is a full blown spa (so are the other places, except King Cross) so you can get there by 6 pm, relax in the pool, get a steam / sauna and then go upstairs, get a drink and check out the sexy shows, eyeball the talent and select a girl of your liking. In all these places the mami or papi will understand basic English and you can tell them exactly what you want. They have heard and seen it all before. These places are not as crowded mainly because of the price, and the fact that they charge you an entry fee, that keeps the riff raff out.

I have heard Karaoke used as well, due to the position of the microphone when singing.

And 'rokok': smoking. There are a million others but BJ keeps it simple and works for those new to town.

Hi there,

I used to go to Jakarta a lot back in 2014. While fancy places, brothels (like Hotel travel) and spas are all fun, I miss the adventures, seedy times back when Kalibojo was still open. The veterans may know what I am talking about. It gave me the kick to loaf around there (with almost no bules around) and just venture. Super local and cheap as fuck.
