I didn't use many. Just Badoo and Tinder. Tinder had the better looking girls but Badoo had better responses.

I'm a pretty prolific user of online apps etc elsewhere so I set up a couple of local profiles and waited for a response. And I waited. And I waited. Response times were much slower than what I'm familiar with elsewhere but I do have to say that the quality of the girls is much higher than other countries' hook up apps. Many, many model quality girls were online and responding. If you like the Asian priorites of tall, China white skin, long black hair then Jakarta is the place for you. Meetups were restricted by mongers' worst nightmares: jobs and morals. Many of the better girls clearly led civilian lives and were not going to jump into bed with 5 minutes notice. I was also limited by the requirement of many of the girls to have verified pictures. For various reasons, I'm not prepared to have my true photos displayed publically on hook up apps so that did limit access to a lot of girls.

Yes. Man. So happy (otherwise I wouldn't head back to Jakarta coming weekend). Honestly, it is not necessarily about the price but the entire atmosphere. I get that it is not for everyone.

But that's ok. For me, I really enjoy it. Super unique experience. I now have the dilemma of choices. Either continue all the time to the train tracks again or visit the other places (PLTU Priok / Rawa Malang) that were mentioned. That's a tricky one.

Third day, passed by the train tracks while on the way to the airport (around 6 pm. I had lots of buffer before my flight) and again. Quite empty. While walking next to the tracks, I could hear the horn of a train approaching and say a young guy (or a teenager) running on the tracks (he was coming from the east side and was on the bridge that leads over the road). The train was super close and he was still running ON the tracks. I wasn't sure if I should continue watching or just look away. It was almost certain that he will get killed. Only in the very last second (after he reached the end of the bridge), he jumped off. Fuck! No idea what is going on in some peoples' mind. Not only that this guy would have impacted his own family, I wonder how I would have reacted. This is nothing easy to overcome (and you cannot even tell your regular friends of what you have seen, as well. "where did this happen" - exactly). Thank god.

Overall. It was an amazing trip, I loved the train tracks and I will be heading to Jakarta in a few days again. To return to the train tracks but also to explore:

Next morning, went to my nice hotel in the South, early check in, breakfast and worked from there (it was a weekday). Although I was horny in the evening, laziness kicked in. The first night was still too good. The situation at noon (and as I later learned during the day) is very different. There is almost nothing happening. My schedule was as following:

1st night: late arrival, stay somewhere cheap in Koto. Fun in North Jakarta.

2nd day: move to the South, stay in a nice 5 star and go with the flow.

3rd day: stay in Central but explore the train tracks in the North.

Things turned out to be different.

Arrived on a weekday 10 pm-ish and went straight to Kota, Mangga Besar and stayed in a cheap hotel. In the past, I used to go to one of the sidestreets close to Hotel Travel where pimps have 2. 3 vans with hot young chicks. Once you approach, they turn on the light in the van, you pick one, they bring you to one of the cheap hotels around, you have fun. All good. Yes illegal has entry fee. I remember doing the math and considering Malio better value for money and much larger selection.

If you are keen on Illegal then a cheaper option is to stay there which gives one free entry and discount on girls to your room however all services end but midnight or 1 am.
