Bonus find from my field trip: Go closer to the intersection where the MRT runs and you'll find a no-questions-asked short-time hotel!

Plunk down Rp 180,000 and get six hours in a clean, microscopic and windowless room filled by a bed and a transparent shower cube, with a flat screen TV mounted on the wall. You'll need a wide-angle lens to take any pictures that's how close the walls are.

The short-time place is next to a low-end bar / pub, and is likely under the same managemental though I don't think there is a dank corridor connecting the two, like there is Bintang Mawar and Hotel Safari.

A short walk right around the corner from Hotel Melawai is Blok M Square. There is a massage place called Metropolis that you can go to there.

When Maribaya closed, some said it was because of bankruptcy, others said it was for renovations. Silfi, formerly of Maribaya, didn't know but was interested.

Last June I took a look at the 6th floor (you can just walk in and take the elevator) and there was much sound of construction work going on in the former bar area. Could there actually be a renovation going on with the aim of bringing back a rejuvenated Maribaya? Who knows.

Maribaya was the best service in Jakarta bar none. You won't find a place that has girls who provide great BJs and sex like those girls did.
