We always get questions about hotels, but here's a question for the Jakarta residents and apt dwellers in the room, particularly those who don't have wives or permanent girl friends to account to. Has anyone had serious issues resulting from girls from Blok M and elsewhere knowing your address after you bring them home? Coming to haunt you? Dropping around unannounced? That kind of stuff? Probably more likely to be an issue with amateurs with hurt feelings rather than the professionals, who don't usually make scenes, I reckon. Still, any ideas? Stories? Input? Strategies?

Bad News = As of a few weeks ago, Indonesian immigration no longer issuing the US$10 7-day visa-on-demand. They are only issuing 30-day US$25 VOD. Crap.

Good News = I can afford it and there are still oh-so-many reasons to pay the extra. See pic for illustrative purposes!

Last night I went to "King Cross", a place that was recommended a few posts back (#4242).

Next night went back in the evening. Found out that the dancers aren't available for sex. Although I did have one jump on my lap, squirm around and ask for a drink

Mantid, Thanks for your excellent report following which I went there myself. Its a long trek but definitely worth it. I enquired about the dancers and found that not all but some are available. Make friends with one of the waiters and he will advise you. For the ones that are available the dancing is 'advertising'. Nothing like being able to see the goods in full before you buy.

Last night I went to “King Cross”, a place that was recommended a few posts back (#4242).

It is worth the trip. The first floor is a restaurant cafe/bar with a stage. The second floor has massage which closes at 11PM which is when I got there. The third floor is a big bar with stage. I walked into the third floor and was greeted by five beautiful young Indonesian charmers with massive racks dancing topless on stage. I just stood and took it all in for five minutes. Wow! I guess management likes major cleavage and there it was, five pair of bouncing and jiggling mammaries on stage. Can't beat a nice rack on a little Asian gal. Better when there is a room full of them and they are all available.

There were about 40 or so girls circulating in the room. Most of them hot, some stunning, and most with noteworthy racks. Some had the fresh look of an 18 year old just starting out in the business. These were often paired up, holding hands, gossiping and giggling, offering each other support as the wolves, I mean customers, were checking them out. Others were a bit more experienced and their time here produced a nice slightly slutty look. The more I checked out the merchandise the more impressed I was. He saw me again here on the first floor and came by, very friendly, gave me his card (with 4 cell phone numbers...he was a bit proud of the fact he needed four phones) and said when I come back to town, call him anytime, 24 hours a day, and he can take care of me. The nice thing about Jakarta is you don't need anyone to take care of you.

Went back the next day for a massage. Talent O.K. But most girls had rice bowl bellies. Found a nice spinner for the “total” massage.

Post 4242 has the address. I am posting some pictures of the signs on the street. There are several buildings perpendicular to the street with several clubs. The building you want has white neon going up to the top on the side facing the street. It is closest to the Delta sign (which was not illuminated one night so I didn't see it until I went back the next day). There is also a Delta sign on the main street you turn off of so if you see just one big Delta sign, you are close but not quite there. Turn immediately (left from the way I came) and the three signs as shown in my photos are half a block down.

Have fun. Good place to hang out for drinks, looking and finding a hottie for a good time.

Also posting some pics of various girls from King Cross and Travel Hotel. Both places have high quality to choose from. King Cross you can hang out and eventually decide who to pick. Hotel Travel will have the mamasans pushing someone on you. I could never make up my mind there were so many hotties so I always made it easy and took the first one a mamasan pushed on me. They were always damn fine.

Another way to make some more rip-off money.

Mind, the reason all this visa fee started was because a penny pinching British government started charging Indonesian visitors some years back. Now its spread.
The US$ 25 fees doesnt bother me, so much as the page they waste in the passport. If you travel a lot to China/Indonesia/Cambodia plus get work permit page updated yearly its no suprise that a 48 page passport may last 1 year.. in a good year.

Certainly agree with you there. It actually gave me a minor problem at BKK airport last year. The lady at imigration didn't like that they had 4 passport numbers registered on me in their system. But after 15 min I was let in to the country after having explained the fact to a smarter induvidual who also spoke better English.

Well they have finally decided to allow the standard 30 Day VOA to be extended for another 30 days. You pay 25 USD again and need to go to the Immigration Office. Imagine the middlemen industry that will spring up over that palaver. The consequence of this is the dropping of the 7 Day Visa. Logic is a wonderful thing here in Indonesia.
