I'm always interested in new places for free lancers. When is the earliest time that I might find action at Lokasari Plaza or Tamansari? Would much be happening in the mid-afternoon? Or is this only an after dark place?

And, Tamansari is an area, is there a specific street or place to go? Or just get a taxi at, say, Lokasari and say "Cari Cewek" and let him handle the rest?

I would not call those girls "freelancers". In my opinion, a free lancer is a girl you meet in a bar and chat her up. If you hit it off, you go home together and she keeps all the money she makes. There is no pimp involved. That is absolutely not what tamansari is. You can get in almost any non-bluebird line taxi (bluebird company drivers are usually the most naive and don't know crap about anything) and tell them you want to charry chayway at tamansari. Once the taxi has the idea of what you are looking for, the taxi will know various seedy pimp controlled vans and small pimp controlled rooms near that area with some girls they can show you. It's just some girls sitting around waiting to be picked. You won't be sitting with them and chatting them up, you merely look and tell the pimp or mamasan which one you want. Don't expect to find more than a 6 or 7 out of 10 at best. These will not likely be stunners. As far as earliest time to go, I would guess around 11pm. Although that may be a bit early.

On another note, I went to CJs Wednesday night and the talent level was off the hook. Absolutely awesome selection. I can't say that I've seen a better crop of girls in one bar at any point in my 20 years in Jakarta. But it's a crime how much money these girls want these days. And guys must be paying it because the girls stand firm asking for 2 million. Crazy.

Taxi will enter street and get flagged down by a spotter. Slip the spotter 10 k. Pretty soon an Innova full of girls will pull up and you can pick out the one you want. 500ST, take back to hotel. Not sure LT cost. If theres no girl to your liking in that innova. Wait 5 minutes and another will be along or go a little further down the street. Phones will be running hot and all the innova's will be heading to your location. Think of yourself as a new years sale.

You must be very brave or have a death wish walking down Jalan Kartini at night, this is a bad area of town where low life and drug pusher hang out there are no paved sidewalk with many motorbike that don't slow down for no one, it is better just go to hotel travel or classic not worth the it for some cheap actions.

Don't be naive Jalan Kartini is a long st only a few alley have pimp and girl, the last time I went to Taman sari 75 is was closed and that is 8 yr ago it is a boarding house offer girl around the corner from hotel travel totally different area just ask a taxi driver to take you to the actions don't walk up and down Jalan Kartini in the heat on your own totally waste of time.

Also, one night I was travelling in a taxi along Jalan Kartini towards the Swiss Belhotel Mangga Besar and along that street men would come out of the shadows waving at the car to stop. The driver waved some of them off.

Are there brothels all along Jalan Kartini as well?

If doesn't work out then I can just walk down to Loksari and try there.

As to opening times question, probably correct question was "what best time they start? As I once went to Alexis per Google opening time, they were happy to take my entrance fee money but no girls were their when they opened, they then told me to come back after 3 hours and pay entrance fee again!

Coincidentally, I let a taxi sucker me into going to tamansari last night. I find taxis these days pushing that more and more. I wonder what they get for their cut? I rarely find a girl to my liking there, so I'm not sure why I agreed to go all the way up there and check it out on a Saturday night, but I did. I'm not saying they never have nice girls, but I didn't like the selection last night and went to Blok M. The band at Top Gun last night was so damn loud that I left within 5 minutes. I'm not sure what the hell they were thinking turning that up so loud. I was there just a few weeks ago with the same band there and it wasn't anywhere near as loud. I wouldn't be surprised if a few people got ear damage from that crap last night. I've seen The Who live in concert where they were supposedly the loudest band in history - but that was quiet compared to that crap band at Top Gun. Damn shame because there were a couple of nice girls in there. I asked the taxi to take me to CJs. As we turned the corner, there were some extremely cute girls in the streets there in blok M. Much nicer than the ones at Tamansari last night. I asked the taxi to stop and chatted up a real little cutie. I asked her how much and she looked over to her motorcycle pimp and he said 1 million. I told him to forget it. He immediately said he would go for less and asked how much I wanted to pay, but I thought the quote of a million was offensive, so I told him to forget it. I ended up paying 1. 2 million for a nice 21 year old girl at CJs later in the night. I wouldn't say she was any cuter than the girl in the road at blok m, but at least in that case I am not dealing with one of those low life motorcycle pimps.

I doubt she is lying. I doubt she always gets 2. 5, but she still looks pretty good relative to the other girls in CJs.
