How can you possibly know that girl was the best looking in the place? It's damn difficult to know what those girls look like unless they are standing and lined up (which they are not). They normally sit in a group where you can hardly tell what they look like. The rooms at that place are far and away the nicest of any bar in that area though. The rooms there are about as nice as the ones at Hotel Classic. Last time I was there was with Mighty Spearsman from this forum. I haven't seen him post here in a while now, but I thought both of the girls we were with were very nice. The one I was with told me she had worked at Malioboro for 4 years already and had just recently moved to Sariayu but she was only 19. She said she started as a dancer at Malioboro.

If you didn't see any hot girls at Classic, they were likely already in the back with customers. Sometimes the hottest girls are booked in advance and don't come out often. I had one girl I liked there who I had to book a week in advance to be sure to get her. Sometimes the mamasans will say you can't book them, but you can if you arrange it and tip them. But they aren't always booked in advance. I went there once with a fellow forum member and she walked past us after just completing a session with another guy. He goes there quite often and had never seen her, but he couldn't believe how hot she was. I told him she was great and if he wanted her, he should jump her immediately. He ran over to her and took her. This was around 5 pm. He ended up spending the next 8 hours solid in the room with her he liked her so much.

There used to be a girl at LA about 15 years ago that I really liked. I would book her in advance and she would wait upstairs for me until I arrived so that no other guy would see her and try to take her. That's a rare occasion though because it's not often to find an extreme hotty that is worth going through that kind of trouble with.

Are there any good non Indo places to eat around Hotel Classic, Hotel Travel, Malio, or Kota Indah? I'm finding that I have to leave a bar at 9 pm so I can make it to a restaurant to eat by closing at 10 pm.

    Quick weekend update.

Kota Indah. New Sari Ayu had 2 ok girls. Mamasan brought over who I would consider the best looking girl in the place and she turned around before she got to me, Guess she was dick scared (this is what guys on the Thailand forum say when girls clearly don't want to be with them)! Royal has very few girls and nothing remotely worth considering, Grand LA had 1 very nice girl but when she came up to me she seemed way too boring and not fun. My regular girl had the day off. I didn't even have to ask 3 mamasans came up to tell me. Starmoon didn't even get a chance to look. 2 mamasans ran up to me telling me Nanda 88 was upstairs. OK I thought I get to look around cause there were certainly a lot of girls there. Mamasans moved aside and Nanda was hiding right behind them, They were playing me.

Classic Hotel. Lots of girls tonight, Stayed for a couple of hours and couldn't find anyone. Was hoping someone hot was going to come out of a session. Yes I was being picky but tbh most girls were ugly or overweight linebackers. Likely talked to most of the best girls there too. Walked all the dark areas and did find one who looked great in the dark buried away in a corner with an Indo man. Too many guys. Not a fan of Classic on weekends.

I have heard good things about Indonesian Cupid as well, but never tried it myself. Already have a lot to handle.
I've had succes with Indo Cupid 2 years ago, you need to be able to be a paying member to be able to read the PM's other people send you tho. From my personal experience I would say Tinder is enough on it's own.

Free Cash Flow is the reliable metric

I look at Cash Flow. You can play accounting games with other numbers on the Balance Sheet but not Cash Flow.
After a Company pays its expenses, taxes and other bills, is there any Cash left in the bank?

Netflix has negative Cash flow which means this company is spending MORE than it is EARNING. (See the negative sign in front of the numbers below).

    https://www.macrotrends.net/stocks/c...ing-activities

Netflix annual / quarterly cash flow from operating activities history and growth rate from 2006 to 2018. Cash flow from operating activities can be defined as a company's cash flows from operations.

Netflix cash flow from operating activities for the quarter ending September 30,2018 was $-1. 445 B, a 11.36% increase year-over-year.

Netflix cash flow from operating activities for the twelve months ending September 30,2018 was $-4. 223 B, a 5. 73% increase year-over-year.

Netflix annual cash flow from operating activities for 2017 was $-1. 786 B, a 21.16% increase from 2016.

Netflix annual cash flow from operating activities for 2016 was $-1. 474 B, a 96.68% increase from 2015.

Netflix annual cash flow from operating activities for 2015 was $-0. 749 B, a 4646.74% decline from 2014.

A good example is Netflix, which racks up losses year after year, yet enjoys a sky high valuation. As of December 4th, Netflix stock is trading at USD 275 per share.
Before the recent stock market decline, the stock price was around USD 340 per share. Fantastic valuation for a company with no profits.

Uber will go public in 2019. I predict it will be the Hottest IPO of the year.

Wall Street always looks at the *potential future* earnings; the losses are considered an "investment" to build the business.

Amazon is a different animal with a unique business model. Amazon does make a profit. For the last 4 Quarters, the profits have been growing.
The Amazon Web Services (AWS) business is a Cash cow. This business is growing roughly 40% per year.
Amazon does invest a lot of its earnings in its Infrastructure (Data Centers, Network, Warehouses etc).

Companies like Walmart, Target and others are struggling to keep up with Amazon because they do NOT have a Cash cow like AWS.
For the next 5 years, the Cloud will be the growth engine for Amazon and Microsoft.

That is indeed a good question. And Uber is not the only one. Amazon's profits are teeny compared too its valuation. Economics 101 would tell us that the system is one big Ponzee scheme. But it keeps chugging along.

Ride hailing as a concept is not copyrighted to any firm. Every app looks and feels a bit different and uses different algorithms to produce the ultimate same result. A consumer gets a ride for a price. They also partner with different companies for GPS technology and Maps. So technically Grab isn't a copy of Uber. That said, both companies got a rap on their knuckles when the merger happened.

Also, there is GO JEK which works like Uber. You can get a Bluebird through the GO JEK app also. You can also get a moto-taxi through GO JEK. I use this often to counter the notorious Jakarta traffic. Sure, one can argue about its relative safety, but it is way faster than anything else on wheels.

Finally, there is Grab, which works exactly like Uber. Grab bought out Uber's operations in all of SEA a few months back and in turn, Uber has taken a financial stake in Grab. Grab is a Singaporean venture.
Great info Blankie! Thanks for posting this.

I wish we knew this when we were in Jakarta in August.
