Glad that you posted this Bali report in the Jakarta section, because I never bother looking in the Bali section. But after reading about this massage in Bali, I need to start researching the Bali forum. Your massage sounds fantastic. Do you think she was just hoping for an up sell of services, or she just really wanted to give you a super erotic massage (hoping for a good tip).

Tried one by that name in Bali assuming the same on the left side heading to the airport.

Sekar Wangi. Now that's funny. I hadn't noticed the name. However, judging from the look of that sign, that sign may be 100 years old. It may have been true when the sign was first hung.

Not just the girls getting into the city but you also need to get to places. I was there one time and was going to Eastern Promise. Got to the street and it was bloocked, the whole street was completed flooded. Couldn't even get to the bar. Drainage in Jakarta is non-existant so even if it hasn't rained for a few hours the streets can still be flooded. It will be interesting to see how the new metro goes, will the stations flood?

The flooding only happens in certain areas. I don't think the Metro has been built in a flood area yet. I would think it will be fine. Then again, it doesn't really go anywhere useful anyway yet. If you want to go from Plaze Indonesia to Plaza Senayan, you are fine. Other than that, forget it.

Kelapa Gading completely shuts down during the floods.

You can't predict the floods. I wouldn't even worry about what time of year to come to Jakarta. Just avoid Ramadan.

The period leading upto and just after New Year is the traditional wet season. No need to be alarmist but historically there have also been some pretty major floods in Jan and Feb. These are unlikely to directly affect a foreigner staying in better areas and hotels but mobility around the city can be drastically affected and girls may not be able to get into the city.

March and early April would see lots of girls on the hunt for cash prior to going home for Ramadan in late April. This might also be a period of expensive college exams but others could comment better on this.

You did better than me last night. My normal massage girls were not answering me at 4 am (I am sure sleeping), so I got on Tinder. This Mita girl matched on tinder and said "massage only" for 300 k. I told her fine. I didn't find her all that hot, but she was ok and I only wanted a massage anyway. I've had some great massages from some nice girls over the years from Tinder and Wechat. However, the scrag that showed up was about the most hideous thing I had ever seen.
