How close is the kc club set up compared to malio?

For eg. Malio dancers with see through fishnet LD at 60 k, BJ available at 20 or 30 LDs. The quality of the WL and dancers comparable to malio?
Personally, I think malio still have the best dancers in Jakarta (in terms of quantity / quality). While for kc, their LDs and WLs cost slightly cheaper as compared to malio. (can't really recall the prices exactly as the last time I went was almost a year ago).

So unless I'm staying near kelapa gading or I'm sick of going to spas / clubs in old town Jakarta. I wouldn't really bother going to kelapa gading.

I know 2 guys in their mid 40's who went to work in Jakarta and both were diagnosed with Bronchitis within a few months of arriving. They had company taxis too and didn't walk outside much.

King Cross is only one of the bars in Kelapa Gading so we refer to the entire Komplek as Kelapa Gading. From Malio at least 30 minutes by taxi and can easily be over an hour during the hours you likely want to go.

By Malio dancers do you mean upstairs or downstairs? I never remember the name but I believe Malioboro is upstairs and Malio Club is downstairs. There were also other bars on multiple confusing floors in the place. I haven't been to any of the venues in Malio Hotel since pre-COVID but I recall the LD to be much more than 60k, at least downstairs in Malio Club. At least you get a bit of a lap dance with your drinks but if you're on a budget this is not the place for you. That 30-50 drinks for a BJ thing is ridiculous when you can go to Classic or Travel and get FS for the price of a few drinks.
However, some of the dancers in Malio club were mind blowing but most on par with some of the other places around Jakarta.

I've checked the ad for the aptly named blow art and it is a little confusing. They talk about 240 k for base price and "tip" of 1 juta. I think that's 1 million. Is that not way above market prices?

So if you had to stay in Jakarata is there a ground zero hotel that puts you in walking distance of available options? Or is it not that simple?

Seems to me that with Jakarta's traffic hassle's its more of a you come to me scenario MO via social media would work better.

Yes I know this should be in the Jakarta Hotel thread but see the first comment.

    Appreciate any responses.
There is no problem staying near the establishments, although if it's your first time there Central Jakarta is a good compromise since you will find more things to do during the day, in all likelihood you are going to venture out of west / north Jakarta during the day anyway. There is also no problem walking in Jakarta it's not Bangkok or Singapore, but not really any different to any less developed city in south-east Asia. Middle class and above Indonesians are very unhealthy and extremely lazy people for the most part, so don't listen to them. I'd avoid south and east Jakarta they are are of little interest to a tourist unless you are into boring malls, little street life. Bars and restaurants in their own compounds.

When I was going to Classic coming from Ibis Harmoni. And a tad bit Tipsy. The drivers would cross the busy roads and I would think WTF have space aliens landed? Thank God I am in a Taxi and not walking to Classic. These Space Aliens might get me. Metallic Silver Space Invaders! Zombie Bodies in Silver holding paint cans asking for money. You got to see it to believe it. Solid Silver from the eyes to the toes.

Only walked the streets in Jakarta once. Senayan Plaza back to the Mulia Hotel, not even 1 km. Ended up like the Pied Piper with a stream of street urchins behind me, and a rather perplexed security guard who literally ran across the road to free me from the mass and get me back to the hotel. As we crossed the road he looked at me confused and basically said "Pak, you don't walk around here". The thing I probably hated most about Jakarta, I'm a bit of a walker when I travel. Jakarta's footpaths, and Indonesia as a whole, just aren't designed. Need good hiking boots to protect those ankles. Now with Grab being so easy to get, I'm almost tempted to get one to just cross the road:-the.

Next time tell an Indonesian you are heading out to lie in the sun to get a tan. That elicits a similar response to wanting to walk around Jakarta.

    Crazy foreigners. 😜.
