Look, here's the basics, every bloke in Jakarta is screwing around, every single one of them. The ojek drivers and vegetable sellers are screwing around, the ojek drivers with the street girls they pick up in Falatehan and the veggie sellers are screwing around with the pembantus they meet in the morning. The sums exchanged vary according to mileage.

Then there are the chairmen of major corporations, senior police generals, the celebrity lawyers we see on TV, cabinet ministers. Who are they screwing around with? Let me tell you, it ain't the pembantus (well, maybe if they need a quickie and the wife is out) or streetwalkers, and nor is it the girls in Classic or Starmoon, or even in BATS or CJs. They are nailing the top models, the sinetron artists, the members of popular girl bands, and they are paying top dollar for it. These girls are getting houses, apartments, Hermes bags, the works, why? Because to these guys they are worth it, they give them the undying devotion displayed by Roy's bird, and more especially they know how to keep their mouths shut (obviously not when they are required to open their mouths, but you get my drift).

You will see these women in the top private schools in South Jakarta, they will arrive in BMWs and Mercedes. They will be immaculately turned out to see little Abigail or Justyn perform in the school show, they will have everything but husbands or any visible means of support, but we all know how they got there.

That is the market that Roy2920 briefly tapped into for a weekend he won't forget. His money, his choice.

Now for the past eleventy hundred pages of this forum all we have talked about is Classic, occasionally Star Moon and BATS. Trust me, not only are we not even in the same market, we're not even in the same universe as the model / sugar baby Roy hooked up with. The girls working in the meat markets of North Jakarta might dream of hooking up with some Chinese guy whose parents own a shophouse and become his selingkuan, but they ain't even breathing the same atmosphere as the top-notch actresses / models / whatever that are doing the circuits of Jakarta's super rich.

Local little celebrities can quote very big price, you can even fuck TV show actress, Miss Indo maybe, but it's reserved for big business men, or higher politics men. If you have that kind of money, why not, we only live once. As you learnt, without a SIM, you spent way too much on taxis. You could have just used Grab app everywhere.

I just went around the world using a single eSIM. Check if your phone supports eSIM. I used Airalo global 20 GB and it worked in 12 countries over 6 weeks, for about $100. If you really care, you can drill down and research which network they connect to and compare that to the top network provider in the country. Really only issue is setting the APN.

FYI in the first trip I had roaming enabled, so I hotspotted my work phone to a private one using vpn and used that. 2nd trip earlier this year I got local sim in my disposable 2nd phone, only issue is it tool am extra 20 minute at thw airport to register. Agsin used vpn for anythong more than grab / bluebird app.
