Please search back to last September and read the posts by Oyenk and me (among others) about what's available during Ramadan.

Many of the girls who normally work at Maribaya Spa (the 6th Floor of Hotel Melawai) usually team up and rent a group of the regular hotel rooms on the 6th floor of Hotel Melawai during the first 3 weeks or so of Ramadan. I agree and don't usually leave a paper trail but I have an outside Indonesia credit card account and have, at times, used it where it appears as a cryptic GAH which seems to refer to the hotel's previous name- Grand Ancol Hotel. Have done it in an emergency when I didn't have enough cash at hand but knowing that I can use it allows me to at least contemplate the possibility that in case I decide to have a threesome with one of the imports I can do so.Lol!!!

But yes, your advice about exercising prudence is good and should be heeded by all.

You are lucky to be staying near the Alexis, which is IMHO the most user friendly high-end bordello spa in Jakarta...

You change and go down the stairs after you've finished (you may wish to tip the locker room boy 5 or 10k) and surrender the token wrist band to the cashier who will then tell you the total damages. These range approx. from 1 million to 1.7 million depending on the girl chosen, the tip and other services and drinks that you might have had. You can pay by cash or by credit card including Amex. Once you have paid, the girl gives you a card saying 'Paid' that you have to surrender to the guard before you take the lift down. The valet parking guy in the front of the lobby will call a taxi for you if you want and expects a tip.

Recently finding myself at a loose end one afternoon I decided to take a trip 9/11 Jalan Industri. I arrived and wandered around the place but couldn't for the life of me locate any of the knocking shops, one security guard pointed out a doorway to me where stood a distinctly older chicken who seemed to be operating on her own, not what I was looking for at all. I went back down to the street where an ojek driver who recognised me from a couple of months back told me the place was closed, shut down after a raid apparently.

Then last Saturday I went along to TC to watch the late afternoon titty show and was most disappointed to find out the place was half empty and the dancers were keeping their clothes on. I later heard from a friend about the recent raid at TC (I had already heard about the unorthodox strip show the previous Sunday, a mama had said some of the non-professional, younger dancers at the club had been encouraged to give it a go) hence the police crackdown.

The place is designed for its Arab clientele, but I quite like the decor and the layout. IMO it's better than that of say CJ's or Bats, easily.. more comfy. better spaced out for better people watching too in certain respects.

I've RTFF all about Alexis. I'll be in Jakarta next week. Interestingly I'll be staying very near Alexis hotel. So near I can even walk there.

Anyway, from my understanding as it will be my first time, the spa is on the top floor? Do I just go up there by myself? Entrance fee?

You are lucky to be staying near the Alexis, which is IMHO the most user friendly high-end bordello spa in Jakarta. You can go there by yourself without a worry. A good time is after 3 pm.

The reception for the hotel is at the lobby. Just ignore it and walk around to behind the desk where the lifts are located. As a newbie you might be accosted by some Mamasans/Papasans who hang out in the lobby and offer you imported girls usually PRCs claiming that they are 'baru' i.e. new with some new tricks in their repertoire such as the 'helicopter'. Just ignore them.

The lift has all the stops marked on it but go to the Sauna top floor (am not sure if it is the 6th or the 7th floor). There is another receptionist (for the Spa)who sits on the right-hand side who hands out numbered tokens on wrist-bands that serve as the electronic key to your locker. The payment counter with the cashiers are on the left hand side. The receptionist will tell you the sauna fees which are quite nominal and only have to be paid if you don't use any of the 'other' services!

Take the stairs to the top floor where the lockers and the bars/fishbowl lounge are located. You can change into the shorts and robe in the changing room and leave your stuff in the locker and walk into the bar and fishbowl by the passageway on your left. Here all the girls are waiting and you will be approached by a mamsan/papasan who will show you the girls- the local Indos sit on the couches on the right hand side and the PRC/Chinese/Russians (Uzbeks/Ajairbaijanis) etc. on the left side of this room.

The current FS (1 pop) rates are 800k IDR for the Indos and 1.5 mill for the imports inclusive of the cost of the room. For the Indos you get 1 hour in the room while for the imports you get half and hour outside, in the bar or in the sauna-jacuzzi and the remaining one hour in the room. Once you select the girl she will lead you to the room or to the jaccuzi-sauna atrium, as the case may be. Once 50 minutes are over, they'll call the girl over the phone to warn that the time is about to be up so that both of you can shower and get dressed. After you exist the room you can either tip the girl in cash if you are carrying your wallet or sign a slip for the amount which is then put on your bill. The usual tip is 100k but of course it depends on the service received.

beverly hills, as far as i know, has no fish bowl or a lounge where you can interact and see the girls. as far as i know the receptionist sends the girl up to the room. based on this i did not find it so 'user friendly'. may be you can ask for another girls if you don't like the one sent up- i haven't tried. but in any case, it cannot compensate for a facility where you can see all the girls and make your choice.

I had an absolute blast at Hotel Travel! What a great place for people who are looking for a wide selection and a no nonsense professional approach to having fun with above average looking ladies :-)

I went to Hotel travel in the evening on two successive days last week - took the friendly advice of a fellow monger and went to the VIP section straight away.
