Guess the discussion is over but just wanna say, don't feel bad.
I've had similar conflicts with myself. For me it comes down to this.
The girls are working because they need money, not out of choice or pleasure. The clients are first and foremost their access to earn money. Whether they like you or not is besides the point, and the more they can get from you the better for them. If they were to fall in love with you, but you are poor - love will matter squat as there is no way you can be together.
If she falls in love with you and you are rich, you will either have to fund her and whoever is depending on her to bring the cash, or see her continuing her line of work.
In both cases - money talks - and it has nothing to do with what the girls would prefer - it is about facing reality.
Keep in mind the endless amount of empty promises these girls meet too. I bet my fine ass they regularly hear how some clients love them, want to take them out and away, or how they are the most beautiful girls they have seen. By guys who try to get better service, try to get discounts or freebies etc. So it is hard to trust any emotional display. Of course they know that the better and more special they make you feel, the more likely you are to tip them etc. And of course the ultimate would be to meet a guy who could take them out of this biz and provide for them at least an opportunity to do something else in their lives. In that respect they have very little to loose.
When they ask for money, for me the issue is not whether their excuse is real - cause the bottom line is they have very little to nothing, while you have, so choosing to help them is anyway justified. While not helping is your choice. You certainly can't help them all, and if you monger a lot in this are you will run into this dilemma a lot.
Based on this, I don't particularly blame a taxi driver for trying to trick some extra dollars off me, or the girl trying to appeal to my concience. In their situation I am sure I would have done the same.

As for tipping. I also hope you will restrain yourself a bit But if you really find someone you like, which this girl might be, why don't you pay her fee for a day and go out together and have a good time. I am sure that will be very, very welcome.

Indonesians need one for the RW, RT, Kelurahan and when any other goverment official needs to view it. It makes no sense that she doesn't have one. What is she hiding?

You are partially right. But not before an Indonesian is 17 years old, he/she must have a KTP. That way e.g. police can check if the person is Jakartan or not. If not, the person can be sent back to his/her village if he/she doesn't have a regular job. That's why the girls coming to Jakarta will try to buy a Jakartan KTP. That this (illegal) KTP is not cheap, is obvious.

So, the girl Scooter Pie met did not have enough money yet to buy an illegal KTP, or she was younger than 17 years.

just got back from sweet ole jakarta and just wanted to update you guys on something that happened to me & jad approximatly 12 hours ago! due to my flight been delayed jad suggested going to tc lokasari of which we've been there the past 5 days im almost a well known 'bastard' there! while looking at the available goodies sudddenly i noticed there was some weired transactions going on between 2 male guests and the cashier and suddenly the security bouncer came in and asked the in house girls to hide! guess what??? it was a police raid!!!!! as i jad were about to leave the detectives told us to sit down and we watched the entire episode peel before us!
