Here are some of my thoughts.

1. Almost impossible. The scene is too spread out. Check out Zanny's Jakarta map and you can see why.

That being said, Mangga Besar area is a good central place and you could be in walking distance of a few places like Hotel Travel and DK Mabes. Classic and Malio would at least be an ojek ride.

Some budget hotel suggestions, Sparks Hotel and Hotel Permai. Novotel Gadjah Madah or Grand Mercure Harmoni are western quality. Harris Vertu is also nice.

2. There aren't any western style strip clubs in Jakarta. Or Thailand / AC style go go bars. Ladies typically sit around on couches or chairs and wait to be picked. You can also bring them to a table, buy them a drink and chat with them. They don't make money off the drinks like they do in AC or Thailand. So take them upstairs and fuck them or cut them loose.

Malio Hotel and King Cross use to have all nude dancers, but I think those days are gone. Classic after a certain hour has drink **** type roaming dancers where for 50 K they may pull out their tits and let you feel them up for a few minutes. Your story prompted my memory that I was in that bar a number of years ago or one very similar in KI.

The pricing differential is to do with ethnicity. This all goes back to a battle in Bubat Square in 1279 when the Sundanese royalty were raped, pillaged and wiped out women children the whole lot.

The guys have been selling there for years, they are outside one of the biggest hoorhouses in SE Asia. Their regular customers are local Chinese blokes, men not noted for their gullibility or willingness to pay good money for poor quality goods that they are going to consume themselves (their willingness to sell poor quality goods for other people to consume is a different story.) If the product didn't work the stalls wouldn't be in business long. I buy off "99", no particular reason other than he is the guy I always stop at, I have never had a problem yet with his merchandise. I was at Mega Ayu's soft opening a few years back and I remember talking to a manager about the place. Are you referring to Emporium / Emporivm on Pecenongan Street? Interesting if it re-opened. It was closed as recently as June during my trip there and the gate out front was shut and locked. I thought I remember some construction going on.

Re: King Cross. Half of the downstairs was blocked off and there were only two or three small couches of ladies in June. Numbers were way down compared to what they use to have with the more open layout and couches full of ladies on both ends.
