There sure seems to be a bit of tipping creep these days in north Jakarta. For me, I tip nothing for poor service such as no kissing or tryig to cover my little guy for the BJ. Luckily I rarely have this happen. I still tip 50K for decent to great session. If I get a second round or truly have a sparks fly out my ass session I will get the crow bar out and give out a 100K tip.

While I haven't gotten anyone to ask me to top up a 50K tip in a log time, I did get a look of dissapointment from a girl in Marioboro (where I expect tips are more likely to be 100+ rather than 50 these days) and another in Stadium 3rd floor.

I wouldn't be surprised if the typical tip hit a 100k, the establsihments will view this as though they are undercharging and prices will go up 50K or so.

This is interesting. I find that when I ask my expat friends how much they tip, they normally say they tip exactly as you just mentioned. 50k normally with a rare occassional 100k for fantastic service. However, when I go to the same places with local indo and indo/chinese guys from the offices I work in, they claim they pretty much always give 100k tip. But when I read online on the indo sex sites that are strictly in bahasa, the indo guys claim to tip between 20k to 50k.

The gang took me around to a few places Thursday night and we ended up at the famous Travel Hotel. Mamasan recommended Sandra, who turned out to be lots of fun. I was tired (getting old) and got in one nice pop during the allotted hour time - although Sandra was more than game for more. Nice room, good service, no rush...total damage Rp310,000 - at today's exchange rate, $33 - what a deal. Plus Rp50,000 tip - based on Menteng's advice. Posted some photos on the gallery thread. The place was full of cuties - I'm sure you'll find a good match.

Friday we visited another hot spot: Lokasari Plaza, home of TC and BW bordellos, and favorite haunt of JAD. Not my particular cup of tea but very interesting visit. These are places that locals patronize, off the beaten track. Then we visited Blok M, D's place where Menteng is a local hero. Some memorable pool games and a visit to the VIP room.

Never did hook up with one of my alphabet girls...but fun 48 hours.

i'm planning on flying over to jakarta in the next few weeks to try out the new ritz at pacific plaza, a club level room on the weekend can be had for a song (vis-a-vis singapore's ritz). i've stayed at the 'other' ritz though its located far from any real hot spots.

anyone have reviews on rcpp? any hot hobby spots nearby? i may invite my favorite massage "therapist" up from bali as failsafe, but i'm sure the vets on this site will inform me that i'd just be wasting my money. having lived in bali for several years i've been to jakarta many times on biz will occasional side visits to blok m so i have a feel for the place but its been awhile and i would appreciate any new/updated insights into j's scene.

the ritz carlton-pacific place is brand-new, just opened a couple of months ago, and i have yet to hear or read anything about it.

however, imho the location is good, as it's located on the main north-south axis (jalan gajah mada/hayam wuruk, thamrin, sudirman) traversed by the transjakarta bus line that runs from kota (in the north) to blok m (in the south). most of the hotel night clubs/mps/brothels etc. that are discussed on isg are located on or near this axis.

for example, you are within a 10 minute (non-rush hour) taxi ride of cj's at the mulia hotel, bats at the shangri-la hotel, and tiga puluh at hotel le meridien.

you are also 10 minutes north of blok m, and close to several malls (plaza indonesia, semanggi, senayan city, plaza senayan) that might be good for mall hunting.

there is also a new mall, pacific place, located in the same building as the rcpp, however it's not completely open and i'm not sure how good it is for mall hunting at this time. however, the food court area is always full on lunchtime weekdays with workers from the stock exchange across the street, so you might find a girl amongst that crowd.

not sure if the rcpp is girl-friendly or not, although it probably is almost every hotel in jakarta is girl-friendly. if in doubt, one trick is to tell the reception that you want a double, that your wife is coming to join you later.

bring your favorite therapist from bali? that's up to you, but my advice would be to leave her in bali. if you do come alone, i'm sure that you'll have no problem finding female companionship for every night of your stay.

Have you ever take the express city bus ,I have take it many time during rush hr from kota to blok m is fast and cheap it have it own lane to pass all the traffic it is alway pack and careful on pickpocket ,Jakarta need a subway system badly.

I have from time to time use the bus way, only in a tight jam, I will have the driver go first and pick me me up at the destination after my meenting.

On a side note, I am ordering a bus fully complete with a bed, rest room, and an office lounge plus a small counter top for drinks and snacks; so I would pick people for a meeting and drop them off when I reach my next meeting destination.

In China the phrase is da fei jie.. which translates as " shoot the plane..." they clearly think we got a missile launcher and Exocets inside us.. anyways its funny how different countries call the same simple timeless blow job.

Yeah, "blow-job" is perfectly good Indonesian these days. Sore-throat, hey? As you can see from the numerous replies already posted, there are several Bahasa Indonesian phrases to describe a blow job. I use "karaoke" or "makan burung" (literally: eat the bird) to describe it.
