I agree that there are few things more irritating than a new poster using his first two posts to ask the same question but there is something about this RTFF thing that bothers me. You see there are now literally hundreds of pages of information going back several years available here and whilst it is a gold mine of information the specific nuggets which one seeks can be hard to come by.

The search function I find to be very poor, or perhaps I am using it incorrectly, let's say for instance you want to find information, as this guy did about Jalan Jaksa, well of course that information is going to be on the Jakarta thread but what you need is the specific dates or post numbers of the relevant posts, instaed when you type in "Jalan Jaksa" you will merely be directed to the Jakarta thread in its entirety with no idea where the information you seek is stored, certainly when you do find a mention it will be highlighted in red but heavens above you have to wade through a lot of pages to find them.

There is a dangkut cafe at Ancol just before you reach Alexis hotel. Around 12mn (presume close early these days) there are a quite a population of girls who work there hanging out to be picked. I've been living (and mongering) in Jakarta quite a few years now. I do agree that on the average, the indo girls are more gfe than the Thai girls (although I've had some sweet Thai girls who were fantastic gfe's as well - and I think the Thai girls are also better looking on average).

However, if you are trying to tell people that Indonesia is better than Thailand for mongering during Ramadan, I think you are providing some misleading information. When it's not Ramadan, I'd say they are about equal - if you know where to go in Indonesia - (for a first time visitor to southeast asia I'd always recommend Thailand over Indonesia.). During Ramadan, if I were given a choice of the 2 places, I'd go with Thailand every time. Even though I have knowledge of many places in Jakarta and have a stock of many telephone numbers, I still don't particularly care to be in Jakarta during Ramadan. As a matter of fact, I try to avoid Indonesia completely during Ramadan anymore. 7 years ago Ramadan wasn't much different from the other 11 months, with the exception of the occassional "ninja" raid on JJ's. But it seems that ever since Playboy magazine came to town and caused the "pornography" crack down, the city just isn't as fun anymore. Damn Playboy.

There's not much in the way of full service places on Jalan Jaksa itself, although you should find some free-lance girls easily.

RTFF! that is, read the f---ing forum. While you are apparently visiting during Ramadan, when most of the free-standing MPs and spas are closed, there are several places still open. Check out Oyenk's recent posts.

For example, Oyenk recently posted this information: "Hotel Classic Spa; Located in Jl. K.H. Samanhudi pasar baru – Jakarta, Telp : 021 3852115" which is located fairly close to you. Also, Hotel Travel isn't that far away.

The "Reports of Distinction" section is particularly good for Indonesia, please check out the posts that are referred to in that thread.

Oh, evidently the expected tip is 50,000 rupiah, but I gave the girl 100,000 rupiah, since she gave good service, also because I doubt if she gets to keep any of the room fee.

This is my first report about experience with JKT psot classifieds. Recently called a number. Rate agreed 500k for three hours. Girl turns up, and nothing to grumble but says only two hours. Jakarta beats Bangkok by far.
Since I've been to Jakarta first time in 2001 or 2002, don't remember exactly, I've never been to Bangkok again.
The Indon girls are way sweeter and more charming than the Thai girls.

While it’s true that virtually all freestanding MPs and spas in Jakarta are closed for the fasting month of Ramadan, with some open MPs/spas that are located in hotels, I recently found a possible exception. I had heard stories about the hidden brothels in the northern part of Jakarta (Kota, Grogol, Pluit), and finally got to visit one for myself.

The month of Ramadan (fasting month) for the Muslim is quite a low time for having fun in Jakarta.

Found out that she was an Indonesian Chinese borned into a wealthy family.
