To answer the serious part of you posting, near TC is a tattoo shop. Just ask for it. Another one is inside Blok M Plaza. Iīdonīt remember on what floor.

If you think about it, how many damn actual diplomatic passport holders could shop there to sustain a business that long? I can't recall ever seeing any other customer in there aside from myself, now that I recall.
I guess the rule changes sometimes late last year. Look carefully and you will see another room inside and there are 2 customs officer there.

As for the one in Fatmawati. Was told the customs officer is new thus he is not so strict yet.

Nb: Actually there is a limit to how much expat could purchase. As I was told. 10 ltr per yellow card per month. But I guess nobody really checked. Last I went with a friend that is having a party. We brought 3 cases of Wine.

    Cheers

That's their starting price, if you nego with them they will go down to that price for a full service but frankly that sort of money is still ridiculous when you are spitting distance from Blok M. They must be under strict orders not to go below that price because I have tried several times and they will not budge, they will do without rather than accept less, presumably as you say someone must be paying them that sort of money.

    Their problem, not mine.

    Boooze ban

I have been shopping there since August 2004 and I have noticed a few changes myself. At first I used to buy whatever I needed no problem at all, but then they started asking about my "diplomatic" credentials, I just laughed but the girl said seeing as how I was a regular and all that she could serve me but strictly speaking it should be diplomats only. At that time I was living in an apartment near by so I only needed a half a dozen bottles at a time however when I moved out to the 'burbs I would pop by every other month or so and load up with as many cases as would fit in my boot, no problem again.

However recently the manager, the girl with glasses right? Told me I could only buy two cases at a time, I could call every day and get two cases but only that anount in one go. I tried to reason with her and she looked pained but apologised and said that was the new rule.

I then discovered another bottle shop on Jl Gatot Subroto which was conveniently located near my home, so I shopped there for a while, but they closed down last year. Then earlier this year I found another Duty Free in Jalan Sabang, not far from Sarinah, they were great, loads of good Aussie and Kiwi stuff at US$5 a bottle. I've been going regularly but their stock has stopped being replenished and now they are running very low, they promise "next month mister" every time but it never arrives. They also made a song and dance about taking my photo id (no I'm not a diplomat) before allowing me to buy and wouldn't sell me wine by the case instead insisting it be bagged up to prevent me reselling the stuff.

So what to conclude? Well these problems all started around the same time they banned wine and liquor from the supermarkets a year and a half or so back, I also hear rumours of problems with getting supplies of booze to hotels in Bali, something to do with a backlog at customs or inability to clear bonded warehouses or something. However in typical Indonesian fashion it may well be that some grubby fingered official is trying to impose a monopoly of alcohol sales in Indonesia (I believe in the past Tommy Suharto might have done something similar) and this is why the bottle shops are comiing under such pressure these days. Anyone who has further info could maybe let us know.

Her gf only likes Japanese guys. Siti hates Aussies and northern europeans. A guy from finland got her pregnant, then left her to go to Malaysia so she now has a baby boy and no support from him. Rp 250, 000 is ok with her. She is about a 6/10 in looks. No anal but oral and full service is available. I kept the condom on always, but she got tired at one point and said to take off the condom and pump her. Tempting but too risky for me. She had a baby a few months ago, but you couldn't tell. Tight pussy. I also tried the spa at ambhara. Rp 150, 000 for massage. Rp 700, 000 for hand job, but I only had Rp 150, 000 with me so masseuse lady did the deed for the lower amount. She indicated that full service was available but didn't tell me the price. Probably double the hand job price. I also picked up a few ladies around the malls. They were ok. I don't remember names but one gave me a BJ for no charge.

Intercontinental Duty-Free turned me down too:

Maybe because they know me for several years. The guy working there always asks me to bring him a carton of smokes that can only be had for $60 USD. No way Jose!
I am a caucasian, and I visited the Duty-Free place in the B1-level of the Intercontinental this week (Sept. 11'th).

There was a woman by herself behind the counter and not another person in the entire shop. I picked out 2 bottles of red from Argentina and was pleasantly surprised when the price was just US$7 each . . . that would be roughly 65k rupiah per bottle. But then the woman asked me for my "diplomatic credentials". I misunderstood at first, and handed over my passport. She handed it right back and told me "No, only diplomats can shop here".

I tried a few things - "Look, I'm a tourist, and tourists can buy duty-free" . . . "It's only 2 bottles" . . . "How about if I pay the duty on these duty-free bottles" . . . "What can I do to make it possible for you to sell this wine to me?". Everything was no sale; she was very firm, even though there were zero other people in the store.

It turns out that there is another wine-shop directly across the hall-way from the Diplomats-Only place. That one (called Bacchus) WILL sell to anyone, but the very cheapest bottle in the entire store is roughly 200k rupiah, and most are considerably more expensive than that.

I asked the staff in Bacchus why I couldn't buy from duty-free, and they said "Oh, sure you can. It is only Indonesian's who cannot shop there". So I went straight back to Diplomats-Only wine-shop, and got turned down again.

Net/net, there must be either some luck involved on a hit-or-miss basis, or some trick to getting served in the Diplomats Only shop. That is a pity, because the prices are much, much lower than at nearby Bacchus.

Rp. 700,000 tip (total 850,000 rupiah) for a hand job? Even in the US it's cheaper than that. This confirms how greedy the girls are getting as Ramadan starts (please read recent posts by Smoothy and myself).

Thank you, thank you, thank you for having enough sense to refuse to pay that much!

As always, RTFF and you'll find the answers to all of your questions, such as learning that the Atrium Mall is another good pick-up mall (although most girls there speak little or no English).

The Indonesia board has a particularly good "Reports of Distinction" section, please check out Bulai69's posts on mall-hunting. Alternatively, just read the Jakarta section for the last few pages.

In any case, your post indicates that you already have enough information to get laid in Jakarta. So:

    (1) please don't overpay at BATS or CJs, and

    (2) we are all looking forward to a detailed post of your adventures in early October, after your visit has ended.
Thanks Mighty Spearsman. I am an expat and am based in Taiwan but have been seconded to Hong Kong. I'm happy to give you an update on action here although its overly expensive. Will be happy to give youa full run down on the weekend in Jakarta.

The question I suppose I should have asked is while I am there i.e. at the end of September are there actually girls in places like BATS and CJ's. Is the Stadium still open at this time?

I fully support you on not overpaying for sure.

Look forward to hearing from you. Big Pina
