Reading through the posts, I found a lot of questions about exchanging money.

Here's my two cents. For the times I have been to JKT I have noticed that the money exchange on JL. K. H. Wahid Hasyum (opposite Ibis Tamarin hotel) gives the best rates.

I just can't be bothered. Card in the ATM, pull out money, done. Seems to give a pretty good exchange rate too.

Having something from Citibank or HSBC helps - worldwide banks seem to be more accepting that people will withdraw money worldwide.

The place is called InterAsia.

Please understand that I am quoting the rate for today and that it will change an a day to day basis.

My point is that this place always had a better rate when I needed to change money.

Night ended and I had a bigger bar bill than what I anticipated and here's why.

Some of these girls work in collusion with the bar maids. Where they charge full price for discount drinks or specials and then split the difference amongst themselves. So be careful when it comes to the bar bill.

But the night was just fine with her hanging on to me I was on cloud '9'.

Back at the hotel she started to become possessive and argumentative about other girls (which there wasn't) and how I didn't call her.

...I'm not really sure why you always post girl's names here as if you made a "find" and they are the best in the place. There are a lot of cute girls there at Maribaya, and in my opinion the best way to find a good one is just show up, relax, have a beer, and take the best one you see rather than relying on someone else's report on a particular chick. Finally I have a report to write.

After reading reports by various members and their luck I finally had some luck of my own. Probably why I like it here in JKT.
